Gammon India crashed nearly 20 percent to touch a new 52-week low of Rs 26 on Friday after reporting a huge loss in the third quarter.
The company posted a net loss of Rs 261 crore for the quarter ending December 2012 as against a profit of Rs 1 crore in a year ago period.
Meanwhile, net sales have seen a marginal growth to Rs 1,216.5 crore from Rs 1,184.7 crore during the same period.
At 15:24 hours IST, shares dropped 19 percent to Rs 26.25 amid hefty volumes on Bombay Stock Exchange.
Trading volumes jumped 10 times to 2,33,302 equity shares as against five day average of 23,275 shares.
