Telecom companies are once again at logger-heads with the government. This time it is about the method used to calculate license by the government and the spectrum fee charged. Big telecom players like Vodafone and Airtel have taken the government to the Supreme Court on the issue of calculation of gross revenues. The main points are basis for computing license and spectrum fee. Telecom companies are demanding for deductions towards discounts, bad debts and interest charged on corporate deposits.
