The states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are likely to have made the highest disclosures of roughly Rs 15,000-20,000 crore under the government’s Income Declaration Scheme (IDS), reports CNBC-TV18.
The total amount of black money that was disclosed under the government's recently-concluded disclosure scheme stands at just over Rs 65,000 crore, making it the most successful black money scheme in India's history.
Mumbai has reportedly disclosed around Rs 8,500 crore, Delhi at around Rs 7,000 crore and Pune at about Rs 4,000 crore.
However, declarations of more than Rs 10,000 crore are pending verification and the CBDT likely to submit verified figures to the Finance Minister later this week before making the verified details public.Watch video for more.
