State Bank of India (SBI) has issued a statement that the bank moved promptly on taking appropriate legal action to protect their interest in the Vijay Mallya case. In a statement, the bank says it strongly denies media reports, which are based on hearsay and conjecture, suggesting laxity on part of banks in seeking relief against Kingfisher Airlines Limited (KAL), its promoters and holding/associated company.
