Cabinet to consider GST laws today

The decks for July 1, 2017 rollout of goods and services tax (GST) is getting cleared. Central Goods and Service Tax (CGST), Integrated Goods and Service Tax (IGST), Union Territory Goods and Service Tax (UTGST) and Compensation Laws will be taken up by Finance Ministry to today’s morning cabinet for a quick clearance. Once that is done, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley is expected to table it in the parliament today itself.

The effort is to get these laws cleared by the central parliament by the end of this parliament session.
