Voting was held in 199 out of 200 constituencies of Rajasthan on November 25 in a single-phased election. In 2023, the voter turnout in Rajasthan was 74.62 per cent, marginally better than 2018's 74.24 per cent. The high-pitch poll campaign saw Congress focusing mainly on the works of the Ashok Gehlot government and also banked on the promise of its seven guarantees. Meanwhile, the BJP attacked the Congress on issues such as crime against women, appeasement, corruption, and paper leaks. Sardarpura, Tonk, Jhalarapatan, Nathdwara, Jhunjhunu, Jhotwara, Kota North, and Churu are among the high-profile seats.

Most of the exit polls project an advantage to BJP, suggesting that the revolving-door trend would continue in the state. Riding on the wave of anti-incumbency, the BJP may form government by securing 104 seats. Meanwhile, the Congress may secure 87 seats in the state and other parties could get 12 seats, according to exit poll predictions.

Senior BJP leader Rajendra Rathore told PTI that his party's tally will be higher than that predicted by exit polls because "there was an undercurrent against the Congress”. On the other hand, Congress leaders also expressed hope that the party would win. "Exit polls indicate that 'raaj nahi rivaz' (trend, not rule) is set to change in Rajasthan as the Congress is going to win a majority," Congress spokesperson Gourav Vallabh told agencies.
