As trends from counting of votes highlight Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) leading in Madhya Pradesh assembly elections, Union minister Jyotiraditya Scindia mentions how people's blessings are backing the saffron party.
"I have always said that as far as MP is concerned, our schemes of social welfare and upliftment of the poor, people's blessings will remain with the BJP," Scindia said while talking to the media. "Under PM Modi and CM (Shivraj Singh Chouhan), our government has brought an all-out development to the state."

"I have always told you that as far as Madhya Pradesh is concerned, people have given all their blessings to the double-engine government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi (at the Centre) and in the state led by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan because of its welfare and development-oriented policies, Scindia added.
Asked about the Congress' claim of coming to power in the state, Scindia quipped he heard that 'laddoos' were stocked and even posters and banners were pasted.
Madhya Pradesh, which has been a BJP stronghold for the past 20 years, however, saw the Congress leading in seven seats, according to the trends put out by the Election Commission during the early morning counting rounds on December 3.
"I have not seen any trends, I don't need to look at any trends till 11 am. I am very confident, I trust the voters of Madhya Pradesh," Congress president and former chief minister Kamal Nath said. The state witnessed a high-stake electoral contest in the 230-member Legislative Assembly.
In Madhya Pradesh, 116 is the majority-seat mark and any party or alliance shall require these many seats to stake a claim to form the government in the state. According to the poll panel's result trends, at 9:10am, the BJP was leading from Mauganj and Timarni Assembly constituencies.
