Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations are often accompanied by an array of preparations and there’s little time left for personal styling for evening get-togethers. As the festive season approaches, fashion takes center stage. Highlighting the top trends of the season, Devangi Nishar Parekh, Managing Director of Aza Fashions, says, “This year’s palette embraces a sophisticated fusion of muted pastels, regal jewel tones, and shimmering metallics. Picture ethereal powder blue anarkalis, resplendent emerald green shararas, and champagne-hued sari, adorned with exquisite hand-embroidered zari, intricate mirror work, and delicate lace accents.”
Fluid silhouettes define the season, with cape sets, belted kurtas, and structured kaftans exuding effortless grace. Styling is key to making a lasting impression, says Parekh, and adds, “Fluid silhouettes like cape sets, belted kurtas, and structured kaftans bring effortless grace, while classic lehengas and anarkalis continue to reign supreme. This year, it’s all about fusion layering, pair embroidered jackets with saris, cinching kurtas with statement belts, or draping dupattas in avant-garde styles. Accessories should be nothing short of opulent, opt for chandbalis, polki chokers, sculptural rings, and embroidered potlis add just the right amount of drama. For footwear, opt for pearl-encrusted juttis or strappy metallic heels to complete the look with finesse.”

Intricate craftsmanship remains at the heart of Eid fashion, with zardozi, tilla, gota, and aari embroidery forming an intricate interplay of textures and artistry. The coluor palette is rich and opulent, featuring deep emerald, royal blue, moonlit ivory, and antique gold, informs designer Mayyur Girotra. His collection titled 'Mahnoor,' a tribute to Indian regal heritage, highlights a fresh take on gharara. “The gharara is an heirloom in itself, but styling it innovatively adds a fresh perspective. A structured crop jacket or an asymmetrical kurta paired with the gharara creates a striking fusion look. Accessories should enhance, not overpower so opt for heritage polki chokers, delicate jhumkas, and embroidered potli bags. Elevate the ensemble with vintage pieces from your mother or grandmother’s collection, adding a touch of nostalgia. Glass bangles, a personal favorite, bring a delicate charm and a hint of tradition," he says.
Beauty wise:
No festive ensemble is complete without the perfect beauty look to complement it. Says Vaishnavi Jain, Product Development Head at PAC Cosmetics, “I feel all you need is 15 minutes for a quick and effortless makeup look that can help you look radiant.” She emphasizes the importance of a well-prepped base to refresh the skin after a long day, recommending a hydrating primer followed by a lightweight, buildable foundation. A touch of concealer, blended seamlessly, ensures a flawless finish.

For a soft yet luminous effect, a liquid or cream blush applied to the cheeks offers a natural flush, while a strobing cream on the high points of the face imparts a subtle glow. Jain adds, “Eye makeup remains understated yet elegant, with neutral eyeshadow blended into eyeliner for a refined look. A subtle wing and a hint of shimmer at the inner corners of the eyes add definition without overwhelming the ensemble. A bold lip colour ranging from deep brick red and rich mocha brown to vibrant fuchsia pink, adds a striking contrast. Choose a shade that complements your skin tone and add a touch of gloss to finish.”
