The West Bengal Board of Primary Education (WBBPE) has started the online application process for the recruitment of 13,421 Assistant Teachers in primary schools across the state. The vacancies have been announced for Government, Aided, and Government Sponsored Primary and Junior Basic Schools in all districts of West Bengal. Candidates can now submit their applications through the official website, wbbpe.wb.gov.in.

The fee varies by category:
- General: Rs 600
- OBC-A / OBC-B: Rs 500
- SC / ST / PH / EWS: Rs 300

How to Apply Online
Candidates can follow the steps below to apply at wbbpe.wb.gov.in:
- Visit the official website and select the Primary Teacher Recruitment 2025 option.
- Read the instructions and keep documents ready, including a passport-size photo, signature, age proof, training qualification, Aadhar Card, and other required certificates.
- Enter personal details, TET roll number, date of birth, mobile number, and email ID. An OTP will be sent for verification.
- Upload the documents and pay the application fee online.
- Review the form, submit it, and keep a printed copy for future use.
Selection Process
The selection will be based on:
- TET marks – 80%
- Demonstration of Classroom Teaching – 10%
- Interview – 10%
Candidates who clear these stages will be invited for document verification. Anyone who fails to present valid documents or does not appear for verification will be disqualified.
