It may be time to check your refrigerator freezer for your favourite comfort food and indulge in a bowl of ice cream. Unfortunately, due to a major concern For public health and food warning for ice cream lovers about the ice cream products containing undeclared allergens, and now due to some packaging mistakes the FDA has done concerning the labelling allergens of particular foods and the risk it poses to the population with declared food sensitiveness allergy triggers of the containing allergens, specifically about the ice cream products have become a major concern.

What went wrong?

In Friendly’s case, 324 cartons of Vanilla Bean ice cream (48 fl. oz.) were mistakenly filled with Cookies & Cream. The product label failed to disclose soy and wheat, both among the nine most common allergens. The affected cartons carry a “Best By: November 26, 2025” and were distributed across Maryland, Virginia, and Pennsylvania.
