Thirst: Thirst is the body’s natural signal indicating the need for more fluids. It's often the first sign of dehydration. When dehydrated, the body conserves water, leading to dry mouth and throat. Drinking water immediately can help alleviate thirst and prevent further dehydration.

Dry mouth and swollen tongue: A dry, sticky mouth and a swollen tongue occur when there’s insufficient saliva production, a result of dehydration. Saliva is essential for digestion and maintaining oral health. Persistent dryness and swelling can lead to discomfort, difficulty speaking, and increased risk of tooth decay and gum disease.
