The second episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show featuring Saif Ali Khan, Jr NTR, and Janhvi Kapoor promoting their pan-India action thriller, Devara, premiered on Netflix. But does the North meets South formula work on the digital screen? Read on to know.

The episode kicked off with Saif and Jr NTR making grand entries accompanied by background dancers. Janhvi Kapoor joins them on stage after the actors express their mutual admiration for her mother, the legendary Sridevi. Janhvi Kapoor’s anecdotes about her father Boney Kapoor adapting to South Indian culture and her mother Sridevi’s spirited demeanor brought a refreshing touch. Additionally, Saif Ali Khan hinting at his son Ibrahim Ali Khan’s potential debut added an intriguing element. Jr NTR, known for his lively persona, uplifted the episode with his genuine laughter. The episode's attempt to blend candid moments with promotional content does not quite work seamlessly.

Janhvi deserves credit for her enthusiasm in the guessing game segment, which turned out to be a dud. Saif and Jr NTR charmed the audience in the dumb charades segment, showcasing their playful sides. However, the social media comments segment lacked the punch that made it a fan favourite in the past.

The highlight of the episode was the mimicry act by Sunil Grover, Krushna Abhishek, and Kiku Sharda, who transformed into SS Rajamouli, Sivagami, and Katappa. Their hilarious act left the guests and the audience in splits, adding much-needed humour to the episode.
