Lok Sabha Polls 2024: Riteish Deshmukh, wife Genelia cast their vote in hometown Latur

Riteish Deshmukh and wife Genelia Deshmukh, a prominent celebrity couple, were spotted at a polling booth in Latur, Maharashtra, casting their votes for the ongoing Lok Sabha Elections 2024. The third phase of these elections is taking place across 94 constituencies, covering ten states and one Union Territory.

On the day of voting, Riteish was dressed in a traditional white kurta, while Genelia wore a vibrant floral yellow saree, embodying the grace and elegance they are known for. After voting, they took a moment to speak with news agency ANI outside the polling booth. Both emphasized the importance of exercising your franchise and encouraged all eligible voters to exercise their right.

Genelia highlighted the significance of the day, saying, "This is an important day. Voting is important. Every citizen must go and cast their vote." Riteish added to the conversation by sharing his journey from Mumbai to Latur just to vote, stating, "I came to Latur from Mumbai to cast my vote. Everyone should come out of their houses and cast votes. Today is an important day. Everyone should definitely vote."

He also mentioned that Latur is their hometown, and the family often visits there during vacations.

On the work front, both Riteish and Genelia are busy with various projects. Riteish was last seen in the Marathi film titled 'Ved', which he also directed. He is now gearing up for several upcoming films including 'Housefull 5', 'Masti 4', 'Visfot' and 'Raid 2' among others. Meanwhile, Genelia is involved in a new project with Aamir Khan for a film called 'Sitaare Zameen Par', which is expected to be released in December 2024.
