Aditya Roy Kapur is celebrating the success of Metro In Dino, his most recent theatrical release. The actor talked candidly about his growing friendship with co-star Sara Ali Khan and his lifelong passion for movies in a recent interview with Hindustan Times.

Reflecting on the much-discussed chemistry between him and Sara, Aditya said, “When it comes to chemistry, I don’t think that’s something that two people can sit and plan, saying we will now conjure it up. You can’t do that, it’s either there or it’s not there. And that’s for the audience to judge.” He added that factors like strong writing and direction play a crucial role in shaping those onscreen dynamics: “Good writing helps, though, and so does a good director, who helps to put you in situations that bring that out of both of you.”

Aditya also shared that while he and Sara were not close before the film, the journey of working together on set and during promotions brought them much closer. “We didn’t know each other before. We just knew each other socially, and that’s not the same as spending hours together on a film set working on something together. I learned everything about Sara on the job," he revealed.

Speaking about the demanding nature of promotional activities, he said, “Promotions were even more intense because you end up spending a lot more time together just being yourself... constantly learning things about each other.”
