It was 7 in the morning of April 26, when Infosys cofounder Narayana Murthy turned up to cast his vote at the Jayanagar polling booth. The gesture - a regular practice for the tech icon of the country every time there's an election - inspires the youth to respect democratic rights of citizens.

"I urge everyone to come and vote. This is an extraordinary right given to citizens by the Constitution and one can choose whoever they want to be the right leader. You have to vote, " He said.

\Murthy also reiterated that youngsters must cast their votes without fail. "Today is an important day, it is our duty as a citizen to make time and vote today, " he said.

Karnataka is crucial in the political landscape of the world's largest democracy. The state is home to a host of high-stake constituencies that would play a decisive role in deciding the fate of arch-rivals Congress and the BJP.
