PM Modi seeks divine blessings, holds mega roadshow in Varanasi a day before filing nomination

The PM will visit the Kashi Vishwanath temple at the conclusion of his road show. Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath will be present on the Rath along with PM during the 5-km long road show.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be filing his nomination papers from the Varanasi Lok Sabha seat on May 14. A day ahead of the big day, the Prime Minister lead a five-kilometre long roadshow in the temple town.

The PM garlanded a statue of educationist and social reformer Madan Mohan Malviya at the Malviya Chauraha in the Lanka area of Varanasi before beginning the roadshow.

According to BJP insiders, PM Modi will stay in his parliamentary constituency for about 22 hours. He reportedly will file his nomination at 11:40 am on May 14 in Varanasi, which is an extremely auspicious period as it falls under the ‘Abhijit Mahurat’ and ‘Anand Yog’ as per Hindu Panchang.

Pandit Ganeshwar Shastri Dravid, who gave the auspicious time for the consecration and foundation stone laying of the Ram temple in Ayodhya, has described the auspicious time of May 14 as the best.
