Pawan Kalyan to be Andhra Pradesh deputy chief minister: Sources

Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan will be the new deputy chief minister of Andhra Pradesh .TDP won 135 seats in the 175-member assembly while Kalyan's Jana Sena won 21 seats. Their NDA ally BJP also won 8 seats.

Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan will be the new deputy chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, News18 reported quoting sources.

TDP supremo Chandrababu Naidu, along with Kalyan, visited the state governor on Tuesday to stake claim to form the government in the state.

TDP won 135 seats in the 175-member assembly while Kalyan's Jana Sena won 21 seats in the just-concluded assembly elections. Their NDA ally BJP also won 8 seats.

Andhra Pradesh BJP president Dr Daggubati Purandeswari told reporters that Naidu was elected as the leader of the NDA legislative assembly at the alliance's meeting held earlier today.
