Ashwini Vaishnaw on June 10 retained the post of the 39th Minister of Railways as part of the new Council of Ministers in Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led Cabinet.

The bureaucrat-turned-politician, has once again taken his place in the Union Cabinet, marking a notable return. Vaishnaw took oath as part of the new Council of Ministers on June 9, 2024.
