Amit Shah, in an exclusive interview with Network18 Group Editor-in-Chief Rahul Joshi, highlighted the progress achieved under the NDA’s governance in Bihar.
He said the state had seen significant strides in governance, infrastructure, and welfare delivery under the current dispensation. “During the 11 years of the double-engine government, and even before that, when the Nitish Kumar and BJP government was in power, many significant changes took place,” Amit Shah said.
Amit Shah further told News18 that over the past 11 years, 8.52 crore people in Bihar have benefited from the distribution of five kilograms of free food grains, while 6.6 crore Jan Dhan accounts have been opened under the central government’s welfare schemes.
He said the state has witnessed major improvements in governance, infrastructure, and welfare delivery under the current administration.
Amit Shah said, “There is a wave in our favour because of good governance. In Bihar, 8.7 million farmers are being assisted. The people of Bihar are benefiting from government schemes. There will be an unexpected increase in our number of seats. During the 11 years of the double-engine government, and even before that, when the Nitish Kumar and BJP government was in power, many significant changes took place.”
Union Home Minister Amit Shah told News18, “Through your channel, I want to say that this time we will win more than a two-thirds majority. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi and Nitish Kumar, the NDA alliance will secure over two-thirds of the seats. There will be an unexpected increase in our seat count. In the past 11 years of the double-engine government — and even earlier, during the Nitish Kumar–BJP government, several significant changes have taken place.”
