To enhance first and last mile connectivity across key stations, Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation (MMRC) in collaboration with Cityflo has launch dedicated feeder bus services for commuters using the newly-inaugurated Line 3 (Aqua Line).
The services will initially be available from three key metro stations: Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC), Worli, and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT).
- At BKC, the route will include major landmarks such as NSE, Jio Garden, One BKC, and the Family Court.
- At Worli, key stops include Century Mills, One Indiabulls Centre, Kamala Mills, and Peninsula Corporate Park.
- From CSMT, the route will connect to Old Custom House, Lions Gate, S.P. Mukherjee Chowk, K.C. College, and Churchgate Metro Station.
During peak hours, the buses will run at 10-minute intervals, with fares starting at Rs 29 per ride and a monthly pass available at Rs 499. The service also features integrated ticketing through the Cityflo and MetroConnect3 apps.
“Metro Line 3 marks a new era in Mumbai’s public transport. To ensure seamless travel, it’s essential that commuters have reliable first and last mile options. The Cityflo feeder service extends the comfort and efficiency of the metro right to people’s doorsteps,” R Ramana, director (planning & real estate development/NFBR), MMRC, said speaking about the launch.
“We’re proud to partner with MMRC in building an integrated mobility ecosystem for Mumbai. These feeder routes are a step toward encouraging citizens to choose sustainable, shared, and tech-enabled modes of travel,” Jerin Venad, CEO, Cityflo, was quoted by The Indian Express as saying.
