Delhi rains: IMD forecasts light showers over isolated areas, Yamuna still above danger mark

In its weather update for Delhi, IMD has forecast very light to light rain/thundershowers at isolated places in the afternoon or evening for Saturday.

The water level of the Yamuna river came down to 206.47 metres at the Old Railway Bridge (ORB) on Saturday, dropping below 207 metres after several days, The Indian Express reported citing official. The river, however, still remains above the danger mark of 205.33 metres.

In its weather update for the national capital, IMD has forecast very light to light rain/thundershowers at isolated places in the afternoon or evening for Saturday.

Officials were quoted by The Indian Express as saying that relief camps have been set up at 38 locations across the city, with 522 tents installed at 27 sites to accommodate those displaced. So far, 8,018 people have moved into tents, while another 2,030 residents are staying in 13 permanent shelters.

The minimum temperatures remained near normal at 24 to 26 degrees Celsius, while maximum temperatures were slightly below normal at 31 to 33 degrees Celsius. North-easterly winds prevailed at speeds of 10–22 kmph, gusting up to 33 kmph.
