Delhi rain alert: More showers likely till Wednesday; AQI remains ‘satisfactory’ for 12 consecutive days

Delhi may see similar rain on Tuesday and Wednesday, with a yellow alert issued for Tuesday. No alert is in place for Wednesday, but light to moderate showers are still expected.

New Delhi received light to moderate rainfall on Sunday night and Monday morning, with some parts witnessing heavy showers. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast more rain over the next couple of days as the monsoon trough stays close to Delhi.

As per TOI, areas in central and south Delhi saw light to moderate rain until 8.30 am on Monday. Later, the weather turned humid with bright sunshine, while some localities experienced mild drizzles.

Najafgarh received the highest rainfall at 95mm between Sunday night and Monday morning. According to IMD, Delhi may see similar rain on Tuesday and Wednesday, with a yellow alert issued for Tuesday. No alert is in place for Wednesday, but light to moderate showers are still expected, according to the TOI report.
