The initial decision to suspend the Friday service had sparked concerns amongst regular commuters, particularly those who rely on the train for weekend journeys, according to a report by TOI. Faced with consistent public feedback, the railway authorities conducted a review and opted to reverse the move.

A Sridar, Chief Public Relations Officer of South Central Railway, reportedly confirmed the change. While acknowledging operational challenges, he stated that arrangements are being made to accommodate the strong and continued passenger demand for the weekend service.
