Pioneer Natural Resources Company (Pioneer) is an oil and gas exploration and production company. The Company explores for, develops and produces oil, natural gas liquids (NGLs) and gas within the United States, with operations primarily in the Permian Basin in West Texas.The Company conducts exploitation and exploration activities in the Spraberry/Wolfcamp field of the Permian Basin. The oil produced from the Permian Basin is West Texas Intermediate Sweet, and the gas produced is casinghead gas. The oil and gas are produced primarily from formations, the upper and lower Spraberry, the Jo Mill, the Dean, the Wolfcamp, the Strawn and the Atoka.
