Ramesh Damani, Madhusudan Kela-owned Singularity AMC, and Utpal Sheth are among five investors who have acquired 3.3 percent stake in Prime Focus for Rs 146.2 crore via block deals on September 5.

<a href="https://www.moneycontrol.com/india/stockpricequote/mediaentertainment/primefocus/PF13">Prime Focus</a> shares saw gap-up opening on Friday and closed with 10 percent upper circuit at Rs 158.37 on the NSE, especially after more than a week of consolidation.

Singularity Large Value Fund I, II and III, owned by veteran investor Madhusudan Kela and his son Yash Kela bought 62.5 lakh shares (equivalent to 2.01 percent stake) in Prime Focus, which provides visual effects and animation services provider to film, television, and advertising clients worldwide, at Rs 142.55 per share.

Other marquee investors Ramesh Shrichand Damani, and Utpal H Sheth acquired 8 lakh shares, and 17.5 lakh shares in the company at same price. Among others, FE Securities, and Samyak Enterprises bought 14.55 lakh shares at same price.

On other side, Marina IV (Singapore) and Marina IV sold 48.06 lakh shares (1.55 percent stake) in Prime Focus, while Augusta Investments I offloaded 54.48 lakh shares (1.75 percent stake) at the same price.

As of June 2025, Augusta Investments I had held 8.86 percent stake, and Marina IV (Singapore) 7.55 percent shares in the company.

<a href="https://www.moneycontrol.com/india/stockpricequote/finance-term-lending-institutions/tourismfinancecorpindia/TFC">Tourism Finance Corporation of India</a> was also in focus, rising 1.62 percent to Rs 346.05, and continuing upward journey for fifth consecutive session with above-average volumes, taking the total weekly gains to Rs 15 percent.

Aditya Kumar Halwasiya, the Non-Executive Director on the Tourism Finance Corporation board, has acquired 6.7 lakh shares in the company at Rs 346 per share, and 5.3 lakh shares at Rs 345.53 per share, totalling to 1.29 percent stake worth Rs 41.49 crore.

Further, promoter entity Auv Innovations LLP acquired 50 lakh shares (0.8 percent stake) in <a href="https://www.moneycontrol.com/india/stockpricequote/mediaentertainment/zeemediacorporation/ZN">Zee Media Corporation</a> at Rs 12.37 per share from Miloeux Media &amp; Entertainment. The stock was up 0.5 percent to close at Rs 12.31 on Friday.

<a href="https://www.moneycontrol.com/india/stockpricequote/telecommunications-service/bhartiairtel/BA08">Bharti Airtel</a> is the largest promoter of Indus Towers, holding 50 percent stake in the company as on June 30, according to data on the latter's shareholding pattern available on NSE. Indus Towers shares gained 5 percent to trade at around Rs 342 apiece on September 5.

The acquisition price has not been disclosed yet. The market capitalization of Indus Towers currently stands at around Rs 89,025 crore, while that of Bharti Airtel is Rs 56,513 crore. The shares of the telecom company were up nearly 1 percent.

Earlier this month, Indus Towers announced that it has received <a href="https://www.moneycontrol.com/news/business/markets/indus-towers-shares-in-focus-on-foray-into-african-markets-brokerages-remain-bullish-13514718.html">approval to foray into African markets</a>, beginning with Nigeria, Uganda, and Zambia as these markets offer attractive prospects for revenue diversification, operational scalability, and long-term value creation. This would mark the first-ever overseas expansion for Indus Towers.

"Indus Towers will leverage its robust financial position and anchor customer relationship with Bharti Airtel to establish a strong and competitive presence in these regions. As part of its broader growth strategy, the company will continue to evaluate expansion opportunities in other African markets where Airtel has an established presence," it said.

Citi maintained a 'Buy' rating on Indus Towers with a target price of Rs 460 per share.. The latest target price implies an upside potential of nearly 42 percent from the previous closing price.

Indus Towers shares have declined nearly 2 percent in the past one month, and around 24 percent in the past one year. The stock has gained nearly 46 percent in the past five years. Its P/E ratio currently stands at 8.77.

Indus Towers shares surge 5% as promoter Bharti Airtel buys 69 lakh shares in 5 sessions

The shares of Indus Towers surged more than 5 percent on September 5 after latest data on NSE showed that promoter Bharti Airtel bought nearly 68.76 lakh shares of the company between August 25 and September 1 in five tranches through open market operations.

Earlier yesterday, the Economic Times reported citing people familiar with the matter that the <a href="https://www.moneycontrol.com/news/business/centre-looking-for-investor-willing-to-infuse-1-billion-into-vodafone-idea-says-report-13521678.html">central government is looking for a strategic investor</a> who is willing to commit $1 billion (over Rs 8,800 crore) into debt-ridden Vodafone Idea for a 12-13 percent stake.

Promoters Aditya Birla Group (ABG) and UK's Vodafone will have the option to dilute some of their stake as the government wishes to remain invested in the telecom giant for some more time, the report added citing sources. The government wishes that the new investor takes Vodafone Idea forward with new ideas as well, it further said.

This is one of the many ways, including AGR relief, that the government is exploring in order to save one of the largest telecom companies in India from shutting down, the report said. The government has identified some potential suitors, and talks are likely to pick up pace in the near future, the report further said.

Vodafone Idea has been struggling with debt, owing nearly Rs 83,400 crore in adjusted gross revenue (AGR) dues, with annual payments of around Rs 18,000 crore scheduled from March 2025.

The debt-laden operator has repeatedly warned that it cannot survive without funding support, as banks remain wary of lending, given its financial stress. Vi employs over 18,000 people and has nearly 198 million subscribers.

The telecom service provider is exploring non-bank avenues to fund its capital expenditure plans, as negotiations with lenders remain stalled due to uncertainty over adjusted gross revenue (AGR) dues, outgoing CEO Akshaya Moondra said on August 18 during the June quarter earnings call.

Vi has also formally urged the government to settle the AGR matter ahead of the March 2026 deadline, which Moondra said would help reassure banks and unlock financing support.

"Given the fact that we are keen on maintaining a continuity of our capex, which has been going on since last year, we are looking at non-banking sources of funding, also not the full amount of Rs 25,000 crore that we have talked about, but a lesser amount so that we can continue with the capex cycle," Moondra said.
