Bank Nifty declined more than 2 percent in Monday's trade as the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) after the RBI late Friday directed banks to cap their net open rupee positions in the foreign exchange market at $100 million by the end of each business day. The compliance is required latest by April 10.

All 14 constituents of the Bank Nifty were in the red. In the preivous two sessions of trading, the Nift Bank rose more than 4 percent. However, today the index snapped the gains to decline more more than 2 percent.

AU Small Finance Bank was the major laggard, declining 2.5 percent at Rs 860.2 per share on the National Stock Exchange (NSE).

The Federal Bank and Punjab National Bank declined 1.91 percent and 1.96 percent, respectively.

Dilip Buildcon share price rose in the opening trade on March 30 following the company received letter of acceptance (LOA) from Narmada Water Resources Water Supply &amp;amp; Kalpasar Department, Government of Gujarat.

At 09:18am, Dilip Buildcon was quoting at Rs 388.95, up Rs 1.55, or 0.40 percent, on the BSE.

The project consists construction of the flood protection embankment on river Narmada, District Bharuch on EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) basis

The cost of the project is Rs 698.49 crore and to be completed in 24 months.

Earlier this month, the company was declared the lowest bidder by the Odisha Bridge &amp;amp; Construction Corporation (OBCCL) for construction of road project in the district of Sundargarh on EPC mode, worth Rs 160.20 crore.

Additionally, the company received letter of Intent (LOI) worth Rs 1,850 crore from REC Power Development and Consultancy (RECPDCL) for establishing 400 kV Sub-station at Mekhali along with associated transmission lines (Belagavi District), Karnataka. The concession period for the project shall be 35 years from the Commercial Operation Date (COD).

In the previous trading session, the share closed at Rs 387.40, down Rs 18.10, or 4.46 percent.

The share touched a 52-week high of Rs 587.90 and a 52-week low of Rs 381.05 on 24 September, 2025 and 07 April, 2025, respectively.

Currently, the stock is trading 34.1 percent below its 52-week high and 1.67 percent above its 52-week low.

The market capitalisation of the company stands at Rs 6,293.11 crore.

Dilip Buildcon shares rise on LoA worth Rs 698.5 crore from Gujarat govt

Thermax share price gained in the opening trade on March 30 following the company arm won an order worth RS 1,600 crore for 800 MW ultra-supercritical thermal power plant.

At 09:18am, Thermax was quoting at Rs 3,211.50, up Rs 19.15, or 0.60 percent, on the BSE.

The company’s wholly owned arm, Thermax Babcock &amp;amp; Wilcox Energy Solutions Limited (TBWES), has won a boiler package supply contract from a leading thermal power project company in Central India. The order is for a 1x800 MW ultra-supercritical thermal power plant.

The scope of work includes manufacturing, supply, supervision of installation and commissioning, as well as performance testing of the boiler package.

The execution will be aligned with project milestones and delivery schedules as defined in the contract, company said.

TBWES provides equipment and solutions for generating steam for process and power through the combustion of various solid, liquid and gaseous fuels, as well as through heat recovery from turbine/engine exhaust and (waste) heat recovery from industrial processes.

TBWES also offers heaters for various applications in the chemical, petrochemical and refinery segments. Its services arm offers renovation and modernisation solutions for old boilers and heater as well as digital solutions for all make.

In the previous trading session, the share closed at Rs 3,192.35, down Rs 52.25, or 1.61 percent.

The share touched a 52-week high of Rs 4,088.00 and a 52-week low of Rs 2,744.20 on 17 July, 2025 and 08 December, 2025, respectively.

Currently, the stock is trading 21.91 percent below its 52-week high and 16.33 percent above its 52-week low.

The market capitalisation of the company stands at Rs 38,038.86 crore.

NLC India

The company’s joint venture with UP Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam has started coal production at the Pachwara South coal block. The block has extractable coal reserves of 264.84 million tonnes, with a normative mining capacity of 9 million tonnes per annum and an average coal grade of G10.

Neyveli Uttar Pradesh Power (NUPPL), a joint venture of NLC India and UP Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam with a 51:49 equity shareholding, is establishing a 3x660 MW Ghatampur Thermal Power Plant at Ghatampur. To meet the fuel requirements of the said power plant, the Pachwara South coal block was allotted to the company by the Ministry of Coal.

GR Infraprojects

The company has emerged as the L1 bidder for an NHAI project worth Rs 1,453.57 crore in Gujarat. The project involves the upgradation of an existing two-lane carriageway to a four-lane carriageway.

Additionally, the company has received a contract worth Rs 413.37 crore from NTPC for the implementation of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) at the Mouda Super Thermal Power Station, including services, ex-works (India) supply, and comprehensive annual maintenance for the entire design life of the BESS system.

RailTel Corporation of India

The company has received a Letter of Intent (LoI) worth Rs 444.44 crore from the Centre for E-Governance. The order involves a request for proposal for the selection of a system integrator for KSWAN 3.0.

Additionally, it has received a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) worth Rs 13.03 crore from the Mumbai Port Authority for SITC and O&amp;amp;M of a Hospital Management Information System (HMIS) for its hospital and dispensaries.

Deepak Builders and Engineers India

The company has emerged as the L1 bidder for a residential infrastructure project at the Panipat Refinery &amp;amp; Petrochemical Complex Township of Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) in Haryana.

The total project value stands at Rs 474.25 crore. Upon formal award, its total order book is expected to scale up to approximately Rs 2,000 crore.

Coal India

The company has received a Letter of Award (LoA) from Telangana Power Generation Corporation for setting up a 750 MWh (187.5 MW for 4 hours) BESS plant at Choutuppal, at a tariff of Rs 3.14 lakh per MW per month. The project cost is Rs 1,057.09 crore.

Additionally, the company has formed a 50:50 joint venture, DVC CIL Power Private Limited, with Damodar Valley Corporation.

CMS Info Systems

The company has announced the acquisition of the ATM managed services business of Financial Software and Systems (FSS) for Rs 115 crore. The transaction involves the transfer of operating assets and the novation of customer contracts, and is expected to close in Q1 FY27.

Additionally, PPFAS Mutual Fund, through its schemes, acquired 1.5 lakh shares via an open market transaction on March 24, increasing its shareholding to 7.97 percent from 7.88 percent earlier.

NTPC

The board approved the company’s investment proposal for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) with a total capacity of 4.70 GWh, at an estimated project cost of Rs 5,821.90 crore.

It also approved an additional equity commitment of Rs 3,173.67 crore in Meja Urja Nigam (MUNPL), a joint venture of NTPC and Uttar Pradesh Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam (UPRVUNL), for setting up the Meja Super Thermal Power Project Stage-II (3x800 MW). With this investment, the total equity commitment in MUNPL would reach Rs 5,000 crore.

Additionally, the company’s subsidiary, NTPC Renewable Energy, has declared COD for 180 MW solar capacity. With this, the total installed capacity of the NTPC group stands at 88,889 MW and the commercial capacity at 87,809 MW.

Dilip Buildcon

The company has received a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) from the Narmada Water Resources, Water Supply &amp;amp; Kalpasar Department, Gujarat, for the construction of a flood protection embankment on the Narmada River. The project cost is Rs 698.49 crore.

KNR Constructions

The company has received a Letter of Award from the National Highways Authority of India for the construction of a four-lane NH-167 stretch from Gudebellur to Mahabubnagar on the Hyderabad–Panaji section under NH(O) on a Hybrid Annuity Mode (HAM) basis in Telangana. The project cost is Rs 1,734 crore.

Thermax

The company’s subsidiary, Thermax Babcock &amp;amp; Wilcox Energy Solutions, has secured a boiler package supply order valued at Rs 1,600 crore from a thermal power projects company in Central India for a 1x800 MW ultra-supercritical thermal power plant.

Syngene International

Peter Bains has resigned from the position of Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, effective June 30, 2026. The board has appointed Siddharth Mittal as an Additional Director, designated as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, and a member of the Executive Committee, effective July 1, subject to shareholder approval.

The board also announced a change in the role of Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw from Non-Executive Chairperson to Executive Chairperson.

Gujarat Fluorochemicals

The company’s subsidiary, GFCL EV, has raised US$ 80 million from a global marquee investor, in addition to US$ 50 million already raised from the International Finance Corporation (IFC).

Aarti Pharmalabs

The United States Food and Drug Administration (US FDA) conducted an inspection of the company’s Unit-IV in Palghar, Maharashtra, and issued a Form 483 with one observation, which is procedural in nature.

JSW Steel

The company’s subsidiary, JSW Sambalpur Steel, has acquired the steel business undertaking of Bhushan Power and Steel (BPSL) by way of a slump sale on a going concern basis.

Ceigall India

The company’s subsidiary, Ceigall Infra Projects (CIPPL), has received a Letter of Award (LoA) from the National Highways Authority of India for the construction of a six-lane access-controlled spur connectivity project in Punjab on a Hybrid Annuity Mode basis. The project cost is Rs 603 crore.

JNK India

The company has received a major order worth Rs 300–600 crore from JNK Global Co, Korea, for providing support services and supplies for a cracker furnace package for a refinery project in India.

Bombay Burmah Trading Corporation

The company has sold tea plantations in the Nilgiris for Rs 120 crore.

TVS Holdings

The company has invested Rs 526.79 crore in Home Credit India Finance by acquiring an additional 22.91 crore equity shares, raising its stake to 80.39 percent.

ACME Solar Holdings

The company has received a show-cause-cum-demand notice from the Directorate General of Goods &amp;amp; Services Tax Intelligence, Rajasthan, alleging a GST demand of Rs 149.73 crore for the period from April 2021 to March 2025, along with applicable interest and penalties.

Additionally, through its subsidiary ACME Surya Power, the company has commissioned the third phase of 11.429 MW / 51.354 MWh out of the total 250 MW / 1103.392 MWh BESS project capacity at Bikaner, Rajasthan.

The commercial operation date (COD) for Phase III will be March 31, 2026. With this, ACME Surya Power has achieved a commissioned capacity of 107.143 MW / 481.440 MWh out of the total planned capacity.

Bank of Baroda

The Government of Madhya Pradesh has revoked a five-year ban on Bank of Baroda from conducting state government business within 24 hours of issuing the initial order, according to CNBC-TV18.

The initial order, issued by the Madhya Pradesh Institutional Finance Commissioner on March 27, cited alleged lapses in handling funds under the Chief Minister Kisan Yojana. According to the government letter, approximately Rs 1,751 crore was required to be deposited under a specific treasury receipt head.

Mahanagar Gas

The Washington State Investment Board has bought 6.17 lakh shares (equivalent to a 0.62 percent stake) in Mahanagar Gas for Rs 58.7 crore, at a price of Rs 950.42 per share.

Apollo Micro Systems

Motilal Oswal Mutual Fund has acquired 18.02 lakh shares (a 0.5 percent stake) in Apollo Micro Systems at Rs 189.58 per share, valued at Rs 34.17 crore.

However, the fund house sold 5.42 lakh shares (a 0.68 percent stake) in Cyient DLM at Rs 278.3 per share, amounting to Rs 15.1 crore.

Arvind SmartSpaces

HDFC Capital Affordable Real Estate Fund-1 sold 4.58 lakh shares (a 1 percent stake) in the company at Rs 509.99 per share, valued at Rs 23.39 crore. However, ASL ESOP Trust bought the same number of shares at Rs 510 per share, amounting to Rs 23.39 crore.

Cube Highways Trust

Financial services firm Spark Financial Holdings has bought 18 lakh units in the infrastructure investment trust from Cube Mobility Investments Pte at Rs 146 per unit, valued at Rs 26.28 crore.

Washington State Investment Board, which established by Washington State Legislature for managing investments for several retirement plans, has acquired over 0.6 percent equity stake in Mahanagar Gas via open market transactions on March 27.

Mahanagar Gas shares closed 0.17 percent higher at Rs 940.3 amid high volumes on the BSE, extending uptrend for third consecutive session especially after hitting the lowest level since March 2023.

Washington State Investment Board has bought 6.17 lakh shares (equivalent to 0.62 percent of paid-up equity) in Mahanagar Gas, the natural gas distribution company, for Rs 58.7 crore. The buying price was Rs 950.42 per share.

Meanwhile, the brisk action was also seen in Apollo Micro Systems, and Cyient DLM, which fell 4.14 percent to Rs 189.49 and corrected 5.33 percent to Rs 278.90, respectively on the National Stock Exchange.

Motilal Oswal Mutual Fund has acquired 18.02 lakh shares (0.5 percent stake) in Apollo Micro Systems, which manufactures electronic and electro-mechanical solutions for the defense, aerospace, and homeland security sectors, at Rs 189.58 per share, valued at Rs 34.17 crore.

However, the fund house sold 5.42 lakh shares (0.68 percent stake) in design-led manufacturing solutions provider Cyient DLM at Rs 278.3 per share, amounting to Rs 15.1 crore.

Real estate developer Arvind SmartSpaces also saw exchange of shares, falling 0.89 percent to Rs 516.65. HDFC Capital Affordable Real Estate Fund-1 sold 4.58 lakh shares (1 percent stake) in the company at Rs 509.99 per share, valued at Rs 23.39 crore, however, ASL ESOP Trust bought same number of shares at a price of Rs 510 per share, amounting to Rs 23.39 crore.

Also, there was action in Cube Highways Trust units which rose 0.69 percent to Rs 146 on the National Stock Exchange. Financial services firm Spark Financial Holdings has bought 18 lakh units in the infrastructure investment trust from Cube Mobility Investments Pte at Rs 146 per unit, valued at Rs 26.28 crore.

Meanwhile, BNP Paribas Financial Markets, and Societe Generale have also exchanged shares of Bajaj Finance, Bharti Airtel, Hindalco Industries, InterGlobe Aviation, and Mahindra &amp;amp; Mahindra on Friday. Former was the buyer and later turned seller in these companies shares.

BNP Paribas Financial Markets has acquired 12.18 lakh shares in Bajaj Finance from Societe Generale at Rs 882.75 per share for Rs 107.5 crore, while Societe Generale sold 33.38 lakh shares in Bharti Airtel to BNP Paribas Financial Markets at Rs 1,834.9 per share, amounting to Rs 612.58 crore.

Further, BNP Paribas Financial Markets and Societe Generale exchanged 58.12 lakh Hindalco Industries shares worth Rs 504.92 crore at Rs 868.65 per share, and 7.63 lakh InterGlobe Aviation shares worth Rs 327.87 crore at a price of Rs 4,294.7 per share.

In Mahindra and Mahindra, BNP Paribas Financial Markets bought 3.76 lakh shares worth Rs 117.76 crore from Societe Generale at Rs 3,128.1 per share.
