In an exchange filing, Kama Holdings said that its board of directors have approved the proposal to see up to 3 percent equity stake in SRF in the open market by March 2027. This will result in the promoter’s stake falling below the 50 percent threshold, it added.

Kama Holdings said it cannot ascertain the cash consideration it will receive upon the completion of the stake sale.

According to data on SRF’s shareholding pattern as on December 31 last year, Kama Holdings held 50.21 percent stake in the company

SRF shares have fallen nearly 8 percent in the past one week, and around 10 percent in the past one month. The stock gained nearly 18 percent in the past three years, and more than 140 percent in the past five years.

It currently has a P/E ratio of more than 47, and a market capitalization of Rs 81,095.90 crore. It is a chemical-based, multi-business conglomerate associated with the manufacturing of industrial and specialty intermediates.

Maruti Suzuki announced in an exchange filling that it has commenced its sales of e VITARA BEV (Battery Electric Vehicle) at an introductory Battery-as-a-service (BaaS) price of Rs 10.99 lakh. The company is also offering complimentary home charger and installation worth Rs 50,000, along with free charging for one year. The battery rental plan will cost Rs 3.99 per kilometer.

The new electric vehicle comes with eight year-warranty on battery and three year-warranty on the vehicle, with the option of increasing the warranty to five years with some additional payment.

“It features a High Capacity Battery with 120 Lithium-ion based cells, delivering exceptional range and reliability in extreme temperatures ranging from -30°C to 60°C. This robust platform features over 50% high-tensile steel, providing excellent structural rigidity. With a long wheelbase of 2700mm and short overhang, the platform boasts an impressive low turning radius of 5.2m aiding manoeuvrability, underlining its engineering excellence,” the brochure for the newly-launched car reads.

The vehicle is also equipped with an Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS Level 2), featuring adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, adaptive high beam system, blind spot monitoring, among others.

Customers can book the newly launched electric vehicle with an initial payment of just Rs 21 000 at NEXA showrooms or by visiting the NEXA website.

The e Vitara SUV, developed under parent Suzuki Motor's global design and manufacturing partnership with Toyota, is being built in India since August last year. The company exported 13,000 units to 28 countries in 2025.

The stock was trading 7.46 percent higher at Rs 910.70 per share on the NSE at around 2:20 pm.

The brokerage has set a target price of Rs 1,260, indicating an upside potential of 49 percent from Monday’s closing price.

Prabhudas Lilladher said the company has demonstrated consistent revenue performance over the past decade, clocking a 27 percent compound annual growth rate in dollar terms. It also highlighted 98 percent client retention, a strong sales engine and research and development-led innovation.

Fractal operates in the analytics space, providing AI-led solutions for enterprise decision-making. About 80 percent of its revenue comes from existing accounts, with 98 percent annuity-led revenue, the brokerage said. Backed by a 150-member sales team, the company continues to scale wallet share.

"Fractal is systematically graduating accounts across tiers, while broadening its base, implying structured account mining," the brokerage said. It added that the company’s execution strength stems from the leadership team’s experience in AI, analytics and enterprise transformation.

The brokerage said the company’s engagements are centred on upstream AI architecture, combining data engineering, customised reasoning models and agentic AI software. Around 40 percent of revenue comes from the revenue growth management segment, while more than 50 percent exposure is to healthcare and life sciences solutions and consumer packaged goods services.

Prabhudas Lilladher expects the company’s earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation to grow at a compound annual rate of 30.9 percent and net profit at 44.5 percent over FY26 to FY28. Revenue in dollar terms is projected to grow at a compound annual rate of 19.3 per cent during the same period.

The stock also drew support from a rally in IT shares during the session.

On Monday, shares of the AI solutions provider ended with a discount of 7 percent against the issue price of Rs 900. The stock had listed at Rs 876 on the NSE, down 2.67 percent from the issue price. It touched an intra-day high of Rs 897.30 before settling at Rs 837.70, down 6.92 percent.

On the BSE, the shares opened flat at Rs 900 and later closed at Rs 847.40, down 5.84 percent.

At the close of trade on Monday, the company’s market valuation stood at Rs 14,572.32 crore on the BSE.

“In the short term, the trend may remain strong, with potential to rise towards 61,400. On the lower end, the previous resistance of 60,500 will now act as support,” he said.

Going ahead, the index is expected to consolidate with a positive bias in the 60,000–61,500 range over the next few sessions, according to Bajaj Broking. It added that immediate support is placed at 60,400 followed by 60,200 being the confluence of short-term moving averages, while near-term resistance stands at 61,500, followed by the all-time high zone near 61,750.

Aakash Shah, Technical Research Analyst at Choice Equity Broking, saw immediate resistance in the 61,150–61,250 band, while the 60,650–60,750 zone continues to act as a key support area for short-term stability.

IndusInd Bank, State Bank of India (SBI) and Yes Bank shares rose nearly 1 percent each. Speaking at Infosys Investor AI Day, Nandan Nilekani addressed the worries around artificial intelligence's impact on IT services firms, which earlier sent the stocks to a tailspin. “In my view is there is <a href="https://www.moneycontrol.com/news/business/infosys-investor-ai-day-there-is-no-opportunity-gap-due-to-ai-says-nandan-nilekani-13831604.html">no opportunity gap</a>. AI is fundamentally good for companies like Infosys. So, don't get distracted by that,” he said.

He added that the opportunity is bigger than ever before. It is about productivity out of those tools, according to the Infosys Chairman. “When we train people, they have to learn to do this without tools. If you start by teaching them tools then everything is a black box, So, first principle thinking is very important. Talent transformation is huge. You will need talent such as QA testing or development. We have all kinds of new roles AI engineers, forward deployment engineers, AI leads, forensic analyst,” he further said.

Nilekani highlighted that AI poses an execution risk, not an opportunity risk. “Firms need to have their execution plan ready to scale and have new mindsets,” he explained.

He added that <a href="https://www.moneycontrol.com/artificial-intelligence/writing-code-will-no-longer-be-the-goal-as-ai-reshapes-tech-jobs-says-infosys-nandan-nilekani-article-13831670.html">writing code will no longer be the objective</a> for software technology professionals as artificial intelligence (AI) fundamentally changes how software is built and deployed. “Talent will have to deal with the world where writing code will not be the goal, it will be actually making AI work. So, the jobs will change and operating model (too),” he said.

While announcing a strategic AI partnership with Infosys, Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei said there is a big gap between an AI model that works in a demo and one that works in a regulated industry – and if you want to close that gap, you need domain expertise. He added that Infosys has that kind of expertise across important industries: telecom, financial services, and manufacturing.

"Their developers are already using Claude Code to accelerate their work and to create AI agents for industries that demand precision, compliance, and deep domain knowledge," he added.

Infosys CEO Salil Parekh meanwhile said AI is not just transforming business – it is redefining the way industries operate and innovate. "Our collaboration with Anthropic marks a strategic leap toward advancing enterprise AI, enabling organizations to unlock value and become more intelligent, resilient, and responsible. From modernizing financial services with intelligent risk management and compliance, to enabling engineering businesses to lead with AI-driven design and manufacturing, the goal is to leverage the joint expertise of Infosys and Anthropic to accelerate AI value realization for global enterprises," he added.

These comments come after the IT stocks saw significant decline earlier this month amid concerns that artificial intelligence can intensify competition after Anthropic's launch of a legal AI tool for its Claude AI chatbot. Investors remained concerned that AI was creating more competition for software makers. IT index had lost 8.2 percent last week, its worst performance in 11 months.

IT index rises nearly 3% on Nandan Nilekani, Anthropic CEO's remarks; Infosys leads gains: Here's what they said

The shares of Indian IT companies surged in trade on February 17 as positive commentary from Infosys Co-Founder Nandan Nilekani and Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei boosted investor sentiment.

The sharp rise in the share prices pushed the Nifty IT index up nearly 3 percent to hit the day's high at 33,703.10 on Tuesday. Infosys shares gained more than 4 percent, leading gains on the IT index, while other heavyweights like HCL Tech, Wipro, Tech Mahindra and TCS gained up to 3 percent.

However, by the end of the day, IT stocks saw some profit booking and the Nifty IT index closed only 1 percent higher at 33,075.05.
