In a statement, Bharat Forge said it had submitted a bid for the Indian Army’s Close Quarters Battle (CQB) Carbine programme for the supply of 4.25 lakh carbines in March 2023. "After rigorous trials by the Indian Army, the commercial bids were opened in July 2025. For this programme, BFL has been qualified as the L1 bidder for the supply of 60 percent of the total order. At present, the contract finalisation process is underway with the Ministry of Defence and the contract is not signed as on date," the company said.

On the National Stock Exchange, shares of <a href="https://www.moneycontrol.com/india/stockpricequote/castingsforgings/bharatforge/BF03">Bharat Forge</a> settled 4.23 percent higher at Rs 1,296 apiece after hitting an intraday high of Rs 1,311, up 5.44 percent. The stock opened with a gain of 2.05 percent.

Earlier, British aircraft engine maker Rolls-Royce announced the signing of a pact with Bharat Forge for the manufacturing and supply of fan blades for its Pearl 700 and Pearl 10X engines.

The agreement, signed at Rolls-Royce’s Dahlewitz facility near Berlin, marks an expansion of the existing collaboration between the two companies and supports the engine maker’s plan to double its supply chain sourcing from India by 2030, the company said in a statement.

The firm's revenue from operations meanwhile rose around 62 percent YoY to Rs 434 crore during Q2 FY26, from Rs 268 crore in Q2 FY25. Yes Securities reiterates 'Reduce' call on Dixon Tech:

Yes Securities kept a 'Reduce' rating on the stock, with a revised target price of Rs 15,556 per share. This implies a downside potential of more than 3.5 percent from the stock’s previous closing price. The domestic brokerage noted that the firm’s revenue missed estimate by 3 percent, while consumer electronics and home appliances businesses were weaker because of temporary demand delays after the GST rate cut in August and early monsoon impact.

“We continue to value DIXON at 55x as company return ratios continue to remain healthy. We believe there could be risk to revenue in other products (Ex of mobile) as demand environment continues to be subdued,” it added.

Motilal Oswal reiterated its ‘Buy’ rating on the stock, with a target price of Rs 22,500 per share. This implies an upside potential of nearly 40 percent from the stock’s previous closing price. “Dixon Technology’s 2QFY26 revenue/PAT came in line with our estimates, with the mobile segment registering a strong growth of 42% YoY. Due to the base effect of Ismartu integration and improved volumes from existing clients, mobile volumes jumped YoY during the quarter. This quarter's performance was hit to an extent by demand slowdown due to GST rate changes and the postponement of decision-making from customers,” the domestic brokerage said.

“Demand has started recovering for the consumer durable segment post GST rate cut, and we believe this will further be reflected in Q3 FY26 results. With continuous focus on backward integration through component PLI and plans for long-term JV agreements with clients, we believe DIXON will continue to benefit from volume and margin improvements even after the PLI period ends by Mar’26. We marginally revise our estimates to bake in improved margin performance in the home appliances segment,” it added.

The mobiles business remained a key growth driver for Dixon in Q2, with revenue from the mobiles and EMS vertical growing 41 percent YoY, while consumer electronics (-32 percent YoY) and home appliances (-3 percent YoY) remained weak, said JM Financial. “Dixon’s backward integration initiatives, including display assembly (expected Mar/Apr’26) and camera module assembly (consolidated w.e.f. Sep’25) appear to be largely on track. Dixon also indicated that it is in discussions with a large global ODM (FY27E potential of ~6mn smartphones), wherein mass manufacturing is expected by 4QFY26/1QFY27. That said, FY26/27E volume guidance remains unchanged at 40-42mn and 60-65mn smartphones respectively. While we cut our FY26E EPS estimates by 4.8% to accommodate for higher finance costs and minority interest, our FY27/28E estimates remain largely unchanged,” it added.

The domestic brokerage kept an ‘Add’ rating on the stock, with a target price of Rs 18,000 per share. This implies an upside potential of nearly 12 percent from the stock’s previous closing price.

Infosys on September 11 announced that its board has approved a share buyback proposal worth Rs 18,000 crore, its largest ever. The buyback price has been set at Rs 1,800 per share. This is the first buyback of shares announced by Infosys since 2022, when the company had agreed to a buyback proposal of Rs 9,300 crore.

In an exchange filing released on October 22, Infosys announced that its promoters and the promoter group have declared their<a href="https://www.moneycontrol.com/news/business/markets/infosys-rises-4-as-promoters-opt-out-of-rs-18-000-crore-share-buyback-nifty-it-surges-2-4-13628303.html"> intention to not participate in the buyback</a>.

As on September 30, 2025, promoters and promoter group of the company held 14.30 percent stake in the company, while 85.46 percent was held by public. Among the individual promoters, Infosys Co-founder Nandan Nilekani held 1.08 percent shares of the company.

NR Narayana Murthy and Sudha Murthy owned 0.40 percent and 0.91 percent stake respectively, while their children Rohan Murthy and Akshata Murthy held 1.60 percent and 1.03 percent stake in the company respectively.

Why promoters opting out of share buyback boosted Infosys shares?

"The promoters' decision to opt out of the buyback signals confidence in future prospects and improves the entitlement ratio for retail investors," Saurabh Jain, assistant vice president of retail equities at SMC Global told Reuters.

Infosys shares jumped more than 6 percent in the past five days, and over 3 percent in the past one month. The stock is however down more than 18 percent in 2025 so far. Its P/E ratio currently stands at around 22.23.

Infosys Q2 FY26 earnings:

Infosys on October 16 reported a <a href="https://www.moneycontrol.com/news/business/earnings/infosys-q2-net-profit-jumps-13-2-on-year-to-rs-7-364-crore-co-declares-rs-23-dividend-13620034.html">net profit of Rs 7,364 crore for Q2 FY26</a>. This marks a 13.2 percent YoY rise from the Rs 6,506 crore net profit reported in Q2 FY25. The firm's revenue from operations meanwhile grew 8.5 percent to Rs 44,490 crore. Its expenses rose to Rs 35,243 crore.

Infosys announced an interim dividend of Rs 23 per equity share. The company has set October 27 as the record date to determine the eligibility of shareholders set to receive the payment.

Operating margin stood at 21% during the quarter. Free cash flow generation was strong at $1.1 billion, 131.1 percent of net profit. TCV of large deal wins was $3.1 billion, with net new of 67 percent. Employee headcount increased by 8,203.

Infosys' promoters not to participate in Rs 18,000-crore share buyback. Why is it good news for retail investors?

The shares of Infosys jumped nearly 5 percent on October 23 after promoters and promoter group, including Nandan M Nilekani and Sudha Murty, decided not to participate in the company's Rs 18,000 crore share buyback.

The shares of the company were trading at Rs 1,543.90 apiece on Thursday, emerging as the top gainer on the Nifty IT index, as well as benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty.

About Infosys share buyback:

Infosys on September 11 announced that its board has approved a share buyback proposal worth Rs 18,000 crore, its largest ever. The buyback price has been set at Rs 1,800 per share. This is the first buyback of shares announced by Infosys since 2022, when the company had agreed to a buyback proposal of Rs 9,300 crore.

Buyback refers to a corporate action where a company repurchases its own shares from the existing shareholders. Infosys' buyback price of Rs 1,800 apiece marked a premium of more than 19 percent from the levels seen by the stock on the day it was announced in September.

Infosys promoters opt out of Rs 18,000-crore buyback:

In an exchange filing released on October 22, Infosys announced that its promoters and the promoter group have declared their intention to not participate in the buyback.

As on September 30, 2025, promoters and promoter group of the company held 14.30 percent stake in the company, while 85.46 percent was held by public. Among the individual promoters, Infosys Co-founder Nandan Nilekani held 1.08 percent shares of the company.

NR Narayana Murthy and Sudha Murthy owned 0.40 percent and 0.91 percent stake respectively, while their children Rohan Murthy and Akshata Murthy held 1.60 percent and 1.03 percent stake in the company respectively.
