The shares of Mamaearth-parent <a href="https://www.moneycontrol.com/india/stockpricequote/householdpersonal-products/honasaconsumer/HCL06">Honasa Consumer</a> jumped more than 8 percent on December 30 after promoter and CEO Varun Alagh increased his shareholding in the company through a block deal.

The shares of the company rose to Rs 299.40 apiece, the highest level seen by the stock in around 1.5 months. It has now extended gains for the second consecutive session.
<h3><strong>Honasa Consumer CEO increases stake:</strong></h3>
Honasa Consumer announced in the post-market hours of December 29 that Varun Alagh acquired nearly 18.52 lakh shares, representing 0.57 percent stake in the company, through a block deal at a price of Rs 270 per share. This takes the total value of the acquired shares to nearly Rs 50 crore.

The said price implies a discount of 2.5 percent over the previous closing price of Rs 277 per share.

According to data on NSE, Fireside Ventures Investment Fund I was the seller in the transaction, reducing its stake further.

Following the transaction, Alagh’s shareholding in the company has increased to 32.45 percent. The total stake owned by promoters and promoter groups in the company has now risen to 35.54 percent.
<h3><strong>Honasa Consumer shareholding pattern:</strong></h3>
According to data on the company's shareholding pattern as at the end of September this year, Varun Alagh was the largest individual shareholder in with 31.88 percent stake holding. His wife and Honasa Consumer Co-founder Ghazal Alagh came next with 3.06 percent stake.

Mukesh Alagh and Jaspal Alagh owned 0.2 percent stake each, taking the total stake owned by promoters and promoter groups in the company to 34.97 percent at the end of September.

Fireside Ventures Investment Fund I meanwhile owned 1.93 percent stake in the company at the same time. The VC firm has been reducing its stake in the company since the latter's market debut in 2023.

It said that this was based on recent developments, including the company's operational and financial performance of the company for FY25 and first half of the ongoing financial year 2026 (H1 FY26).

It also reaffirmed its 'CARE A1+' rating for the company's commercial paper.
<h3><strong>Shriram Finance-MUFG deal:</strong></h3>

"The Board placed on record its deep appreciation for Mr. Paithankar’s leadership, commitment, and valuable contributions during his tenure, during which the Company strengthened its operational capabilities, expanded its footprint, and built a robust foundation for long-term growth," the company said.
<h3><strong>Waaree Energies appoints new CEO:</strong></h3>
Subsequently, Waaree Energies announced the appointment of Jignesh Rathod, the current Director of Operations, as the CEO-Designate with immediate effect. He will take charge as the CEO of the company after Amit Paithankar's resignation takes effect.

"Jignesh Rathod is a seasoned leader with deep institutional knowledge and a proven execution track record. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from Gujarat University, a Master’s degree in Business Administration for Working Executives from NMIMS, Mumbai, and a Doctorate in Business Administration from XIBMS," the firm said.

Rathod has been associated with the company since November 28, 2007 and brings over 18 years of extensive experience across manufacturing operations, capacity expansion, process optimisation, technology integration, and large-scale execution.

He currently oversees end-to-end operations across the company's manufacturing facilities and played a pivotal role in scaling production capacities, driving operational efficiencies, strengthening quality systems, and supporting the company’s expansion and modernization initiatives. "His leadership has been instrumental in building resilient operations aligned with the Company’s long-term strategic vision," the firm said.
<h3><strong>F&amp;O inclusion:</strong></h3>
Earlier last week, NSE announced the <a href="https://www.moneycontrol.com/news/business/markets/bajaj-holdings-swiggy-among-4-to-join-f-o-list-from-december-31st-13733005.html">introduction of futures and options (F&amp;O) contracts</a> on four individual securities, effective December 31, 2025.

Bank stocks recorded a sharp recovery in the morning to push the <a href="https://www.moneycontrol.com/indian-indices/NIFTY-BANK-23.html">Nifty Bank index</a>  into the green briefly after a four-session losing streak. The index crossed the 59,000-mark, with shares of Axis Bank and Canara Bank leading gains.

After hitting a day's low at 58,737.60, the Nifty Bank index recovered more than 300 points to hit a day’s high at 59,076.10. Check key technical levels to watch out for some upside chances or more downside.
<h3><strong>Technical view on Bank Nifty:</strong></h3>
Despite the recovery, analysts advise caution. Going ahead, the index is expected to remain in a consolidation phase and build a base within the 58,500–60,100 range over the coming weeks, said Bajaj Broking.

It added that a decisive move above the last two weeks' high of 59,500 could pave the way for a fresh upside toward the recent all-time high near 60,100 in the weeks ahead. "The sharp rally over the past two months remains well-contained within an upward price channel, highlighting sustained demand even at higher levels. On the downside, strong support is placed in the 58,300–58,600 zone, which coincides with the 50-day EMA and the previous breakout region. Holding above this support band would keep the broader trend constructive,” it said.

Choice Broking meanwhile said that the banking index will find immediate resistance at 59,150–59,250, while supports at 58,600 and 58,700 remain critical for preserving near-term stability in the index.

From a technical standpoint, the index remains sandwiched between key reference zones, said SAMCO Securities. "While it is trading below the middle Bollinger Band near 59,200, it continues to defend the 50-day simple moving average placed around 58,700. This narrow compression in price action suggests muted volatility, with the index neither showing signs of a meaningful breakdown nor offering clarity on a sustainable upside move at this juncture," it added.

The domestic brokerage said that the index will find immediate resistance near 59,100, followed by 59,200 on the upside. "A stronger supply zone is visible around 59,350, which has previously acted as a rejection area and remains a key hurdle for any meaningful recovery," it added.

Angel One expects Bank Nifty to find key support at 58,800 -58,500 on the downside, and resistance at 59,300 -59,500 on the upside.

Bank Nifty recovers 300 pts from day's low to cross 59,000: Check key levels to watch out for

Bank stocks recorded a sharp recovery in the morning to push the Nifty Bank index  into the green briefly after a four-session losing streak. The index crossed the 59,000-mark, with shares of Axis Bank and Canara Bank leading gains.

After hitting a day's low at 58,737.60, the Nifty Bank index recovered more than 300 points to hit a day’s high at 59,076.10. Check key technical levels to watch out for some upside chances or more downside.
Technical view on Bank Nifty:
Despite the recovery, analysts advise caution. Going ahead, the index is expected to remain in a consolidation phase and build a base within the 58,500–60,100 range over the coming weeks, said Bajaj Broking.

It added that a decisive move above the last two weeks' high of 59,500 could pave the way for a fresh upside toward the recent all-time high near 60,100 in the weeks ahead. &quot;The sharp rally over the past two months remains well-contained within an upward price channel, highlighting sustained demand even at higher levels. On the downside, strong support is placed in the 58,300–58,600 zone, which coincides with the 50-day EMA and the previous breakout region. Holding above this support band would keep the broader trend constructive,” it said.

Choice Broking meanwhile said that the banking index will find immediate resistance at 59,150–59,250, while supports at 58,600 and 58,700 remain critical for preserving near-term stability in the index.

From a technical standpoint, the index remains sandwiched between key reference zones, said SAMCO Securities. &quot;While it is trading below the middle Bollinger Band near 59,200, it continues to defend the 50-day simple moving average placed around 58,700. This narrow compression in price action suggests muted volatility, with the index neither showing signs of a meaningful breakdown nor offering clarity on a sustainable upside move at this juncture,&quot; it added.

The domestic brokerage said that the index will find immediate resistance near 59,100, followed by 59,200 on the upside. &quot;A stronger supply zone is visible around 59,350, which has previously acted as a rejection area and remains a key hurdle for any meaningful recovery,&quot; it added.

Angel One expects Bank Nifty to find key support at 58,800 -58,500 on the downside, and resistance at 59,300 -59,500 on the upside.
Top losers on the Nifty Bank index today:
Axis Bank shares were the top gainers of the index, rising nearly 1 percent. Canara Bank and Federal Bank shares also gained around 1 percent each.

The shares of the Mumbai-based IT solutions-provider rose to Rs 373.95 apiece in the morning trading hours of Tuesday, the highest level seen by the stock in more than a month.
<h3><strong>Orient Tech bonus issue:</strong></h3>
Earlier in November, Orient Tech had announced that its board of directors have considered and approved the plan to issue bonus shares in the ratio of 1:10 to its eligible shareholders.

In an exchange filing released on Monday, the company announced that its shareholders too have approved the plan, marking an “important milestone” in its ongoing journey of “sustainable value creation”.

“The approval, received through a Postal Ballot process with strong shareholder participation, reflects continued investor confidence in Orient’s financial discipline, resilient operating model, and its strategic positioning in high-growth technology segments that are driving enterprise transformation across India,” it added.

As part of the corporate action, Orient Tech will implement the bonus issue through the capitalization of Rs 4.16 crore from the Securities Premium Account. The record date to determine the eligibility of the shareholders set to receive the payment is yet to be announced.
