<a href="https://www.moneycontrol.com/india/stockpricequote/multiline-insurancebrokers/pbfintech/PF14">PB Fintech</a> shares fell 3.01 percent to Rs 1,428.4, the lowest closing level since March 17, 2025 on the NSE.

Tencent Cloud Europe BV, a subsidiary of China's Tencent Holdings, halved its stake in the Policybazaar and Paisabazaar operator on Friday, selling 48.4 lakh shares (equivalent to 1.04 percent of paid-up equity) for Rs 694.65 crore.

The transaction price for block deals was Rs 1435.1 per share.

On the contrary, total seven investors picked up the entire shares sold by Tencent with Goldman Sachs Bank Europe being the largest investor amongst them buying 12.65 lakh shares for Rs 181.6 crore.

This follows Mirae Asset Mutual Fund which acquired 9 lakh shares in PB Fintech for Rs 129.15 crore, while Societe Generale - ODI has bought 7 lakh shares for Rs 100.45 crore.

And the remaining 19.74 lakh shares worth Rs 283.38 crore were purchased by DSP Mutual Fund, Schroder, Tata Mutual Fund, and Viridian Asia Opportunities Master Fund.

Amongst them, Tata Mutual Fund, and Mirae Asset MF already held 1.1 percent and 1.63 percent stake, respectively in PB Fintech as of December 2025.

Meanwhile, some action was also seen in <a href="https://www.moneycontrol.com/india/stockpricequote/ironsteel/shankarabuildpro/SBL06">Shankara Buildpro</a>, which shares jumped 3.58 percent to Rs 1,001.8. 360 ONE Equity Opportunity Fund has bought 1.62 lakh shares (0.67 percent stake) in the building materials, and home improvement products supplier for Rs 16.22 crore. The buying price was Rs 998.61 per share.

However, <a href="https://www.moneycontrol.com/india/stockpricequote/textiles-processing/ganeshaecosphere/GP01">Ganesha Ecosphere</a> was under pressure on Friday, plunging 8.36 percent to Rs 706.4 amid high volumes, may be after more than one percent stake offloaded by DSP Mutual Fund.

DSP Mutual Fund sold 2.76 lakh shares (1.03 percent stake) in the PET bottle recycler for Rs 21.2 crore, at a price of Rs 768 per share. However, India Capital Management through India Capital Fund has acquired 2.34 lakh shares for Rs 17.97 crore at same price.

Global brokerage UBS said the airline’s earnings remain sensitive to the ongoing military action between the United States and Iran. According to the brokerage, the hostilities are likely to weigh on the carrier’s available seat kilometre (ASK) in the near term, NDTV Profit reported, citing UBS.

Available seat kilometre is a measure of passenger carrying capacity calculated by multiplying the number of available seats by the kilometres flown.

UBS retained a ‘buy’ rating on the stock but cut its target price by nearly 13 percent to Rs 5,480 from Rs 6,170. The brokerage said a rise in crude oil prices poses additional risk to the company’s earnings. It also noted that depreciation of the rupee against the US dollar could create medium-term headwinds.

On Wednesday, the airline said it had cancelled more than 500 flights to West Asia and other select international destinations amid the hostilities between the US and Iran.

Earlier, on March 4, the low-cost carrier said it had cancelled over 500 overseas flights between February 28 and March 3 due to the ongoing tensions in the Middle East. On that day, the company’s stock was trading 4.6 percent lower at Rs 4,310.4 per share.

"If these cancellations persist for seven days, we estimate they will erase about Rs 32 crore of IndiGo’s profit before tax, equal to about 6 percent of profit before tax in the fourth quarter," HSBC analysts led by Parash Jain said.

Foreign investors sold nearly Rs 6,000 crore worth of IT stocks in the second half of February after offloading around Rs 11,000 crore in the first half of the month, as concerns over the impact of generative artificial intelligence triggered a sharp selloff in the sector.

The heavy selling came amid fears that rapid advances in generative AI could reduce demand for large-scale, human-led coding and IT support services, which remain a key revenue driver for India’s software exporters.

Combined selling by FIIs in IT stocks during February stood at nearly Rs 17,000 crore. Despite the sector-specific selling, FIIs remained net buyers in Indian equities overall, purchasing around Rs 15,250 crore during the month.

Following the selloff, FIIs’ combined investment in IT stocks declined to about Rs 4.18 lakh crore at the end of February, the lowest level in four years. This represents a 21.8 percent drop from Rs 5.34 lakh crore at the end of January 2026, according to NSDL data.

Foreign investors have been consistently reducing exposure to IT stocks since the start of 2025, with cumulative selling of about Rs 74,698 crore during the period. Details of stock-wise stake reductions are expected to be disclosed in the March quarter shareholding patterns.

FII holdings in IT stocks had stood at a record Rs 7.3 lakh crore at the beginning of 2025. With the recent decline in stock prices alongside continued selling, the value of these holdings has fallen about 42.8 percent.

The decline in stock prices during February has been sharp across major IT companies. Infosys fell 20.4 percent during the month, while TCS dropped 18 percent and HCL Technologies declined 20.1 percent. Tech Mahindra fell 23.5 percent, Persistent Systems lost 23 percent, and Wipro declined around 17.4 percent. The Nifty IT index dropped 20.8 percent during the same period.

Apart from IT, FIIs also reduced exposure to a few other sectors in the second half of February. They sold shares worth Rs 5,238 crore in consumer services and Rs 1,775 crore in telecom stocks. FMCG stocks saw selling of around Rs 769 crore, while chemicals and consumer durables witnessed selling of over Rs 350 crore each.

At the same time, several sectors saw strong buying interest from foreign investors in the latter half of the month. Capital goods and auto stocks attracted the highest inflows, with FIIs purchasing shares worth Rs 4,103 crore and Rs 3,075 crore respectively in the second half of February, following purchases of Rs 8,032 crore and Rs 511 crore in the first half.

Construction and metals stocks also saw buying of Rs 2,742 crore and Rs 2,359 crore respectively during the second half, after inflows of Rs 1,745 crore and Rs 3,279 crore in the first half of the month. Financial services and power stocks attracted buying of Rs 2,243 crore and Rs 1,234 crore respectively in the second half of February, after inflows of Rs 6,175 crore and Rs 3,272 crore during the first half.

Foreign investors sold nearly Rs 6,000 crore worth of IT stocks in the second half of February after offloading around Rs 11,000 crore in the first half of the month, as concerns over the impact of generative artificial intelligence triggered a sharp selloff in the sector.

The heavy selling came amid fears that rapid advances in generative AI could reduce demand for large-scale, human-led coding and IT support services, which remain a key revenue driver for India’s software exporters.

Combined selling by FIIs in IT stocks during February stood at nearly Rs 17,000 crore. Despite the sector-specific selling, FIIs remained net buyers in Indian equities overall, purchasing around Rs 15,250 crore during the month.

Following the selloff, FIIs’ combined investment in IT stocks declined to about Rs 4.18 lakh crore at the end of February, the lowest level in four years. This represents a 21.8 percent drop from Rs 5.34 lakh crore at the end of January 2026, according to NSDL data.

Foreign investors have been consistently reducing exposure to IT stocks since the start of 2025, with cumulative selling of about Rs 74,698 crore during the period. Details of stock-wise stake reductions are expected to be disclosed in the March quarter shareholding patterns.

FII holdings in IT stocks had stood at a record Rs 7.3 lakh crore at the beginning of 2025. With the recent decline in stock prices alongside continued selling, the value of these holdings has fallen about 42.8 percent.

The decline in stock prices during February has been sharp across major IT companies. Infosys fell 20.4 percent during the month, while TCS dropped 18 percent and HCL Technologies declined 20.1 percent. Tech Mahindra fell 23.5 percent, Persistent Systems lost 23 percent, and Wipro declined around 17.4 percent. The Nifty IT index dropped 20.8 percent during the same period.

Apart from IT, FIIs also reduced exposure to a few other sectors in the second half of February. They sold shares worth Rs 5,238 crore in consumer services and Rs 1,775 crore in telecom stocks. FMCG stocks saw selling of around Rs 769 crore, while chemicals and consumer durables witnessed selling of over Rs 350 crore each.

At the same time, several sectors saw strong buying interest from foreign investors in the latter half of the month. Capital goods and auto stocks attracted the highest inflows, with FIIs purchasing shares worth Rs 4,103 crore and Rs 3,075 crore respectively in the second half of February, following purchases of Rs 8,032 crore and Rs 511 crore in the first half.

Construction and metals stocks also saw buying of Rs 2,742 crore and Rs 2,359 crore respectively during the second half, after inflows of Rs 1,745 crore and Rs 3,279 crore in the first half of the month. Financial services and power stocks attracted buying of Rs 2,243 crore and Rs 1,234 crore respectively in the second half of February, after inflows of Rs 6,175 crore and Rs 3,272 crore during the first half.
