Business Excellence Trust III, the Alternative Investment Fund managed by Motilal Oswal Private Equity Investment Advisors, sold 2.84 percent stake in Happy Forgings, the precision machined components maker, via open market transactions on February 12.

As per the deals information available on the exchanges, Business Excellence Trust III offloaded 26.86 lakh shares in forging company for Rs 307.6 crore, however, Kotak Mahindra Mutual Fund, and Rajni Tarun Jain were buyers in the deal.

Kotak Mahindra Mutual Fund has acquired additional 24.66 lakh shares (2.6 percent stake) in <a href="https://www.moneycontrol.com/india/stockpricequote/metals-castingsforgings/happyforgings/HFL02">Happy Forgings</a> for Rs 282.35 crore, and Rajni Tarun Jain 2.2 lakh shares for Rs 25.27 crore. The transaction price for the deal was Rs 1,145 per share.

Perhaps, may be after this deal, Happy Forgings shares attracted significant buying interest, freezing at 10 percent upper circuit at Rs 1,286.6, which is close its record high of Rs 1,299.95 on July 4, 2024.

Kotak Small Cap Fund held 2.26 percent stake and Business Excellence Trust 3.37 percent shares in Happy Forgings as of December 2025.

Navin Lodha, Vivek Lodha, Sanjay Lodha, and Niraj Lodha sold 20.79 lakh shares in Netweb for Rs 636.17 crore, at an average price of Rs 3,058.6 per share.

Dam Capital Advisors shares fell 0.89 percent today to end at all-time closing low of Rs 165.04, while it shed over 73 percent from its IPO price of Rs 283 per share. It listed on the bourses on December 27, 2024, overall maintaining downtrend since then.

The firm's consolidated revenue from operations meanwhile rose 24 percent YoY to Rs 51,580 crore during the quarter under review.

The automaker reported a 33 percent YoY rise in standalone net profit to Rs 3,931 crore, while revenue from operations rose 26 percent YoY to Rs 38,517 crore during the quarter under review.

The company’s CEO and MD Anish Shah said, "We are delighted to report solid operating performance across the group in Q3’F26, reflecting our strong focus on growth coupled with disciplined execution. Motilal Oswal maintained its 'Buy' rating on the stock, with a target price of Rs 4,378 apiece. This implies an upside potential of more than 19 percent from the stock's previous closing price.

The domestic brokerage said that the firm's Q3 profit was in-line with its estimates. "We estimate MM to post a CAGR of ~18%/18%/20% in revenue/EBITDA/PAT over FY25-28. While MM has outperformed its own targets of earnings growth and RoE of 18%, it remains committed to delivering 15-20% EPS growth and 18% RoE, ensuring sustained profitability and shareholder value," it added.

JM Financial maintained its 'Add' rating on the stock, but reduced its target price to Rs 4,000 apiece. This implies an upside potential of nearly 9 percent from the stock's previous closing price.

"While near-term memory chip supply is secured, prolonged shortages and achieving CAFÉ norms target remain key monitorables," it said.

Citi kept a 'Buy' call on the stock, with a target price of Rs 4,230 apiece. It sees the automaker gaining further market share in India's car market, helped by a strong product pipeline and growing portfolio of electric SUVs.

Nomura kept a 'Buy' call on the stock, and raised its target price to Rs 4,662 apiece. The international brokerage said that it keeps M&amp;M as its top pick among automakers. <h3><strong>Bharat Forge Q3 Results:</strong></h3>
Bharat Forge on February 12 reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 272.8 crore for the October-December quarter of FY26, marking a 28 percent YoY increase from the Rs 212.78 crore during the same period last year.

The firm’s revenue from operations meanwhile rose around 25 percent YoY to Rs 4,342.93 crore during the quarter under review.

Along with the Q3 results, the company declared an interim dividend of Rs 2 per equity share. The record date to determine the eligibility of the shareholders set to receive the payment has been set on February 18. The dividend will be paid to the eligible shareholders on or before March 12.

Bharat Forge Chairman and MD B.N. Kalyani said, “Looking ahead into Q4 FY26 and FY27, it is fair to say that the worst is behind us and things are starting to look up. With both domestic and exports markets looking strong across sectors, and the commencement of ATAGS execution in H2 FY27, we expect high double-digit top line growth and commensurate impact on profitability.”
<h3><strong>Amara Raja Q3 Results:</strong></h3>
Amara Raja Energy &amp; Mobility on February 11 reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 140.15 crore for Q3 FY26, marking a 53 percent year-on-year (YoY) fall from the Rs 298.37 crore net profit reported in Q3 FY25. This comes despite the company reporting a net exceptional gain of Rs 47.63 crore during the quarter under review, as against a one-time expense of Rs 111.07 crore during the year-ago period.

The firm’s revenue from operations however rose over 4 percent YoY to Rs 3,410.15 crore during the quarter under review. “The company reported healthy performance across key segments, led by strong automotive growth driven by rising OEM volumes, particularly in the domestic four-wheeler and allied segments. The Industrial battery business delivered steady performance in the UPS segment, while Telecom customers increasingly migrate to advanced Li-ion battery solutions. Q3 results impact: Bharat Forge shares rise 2% as firm says 'worst is behind'; Amara Raja plunges 6%

The shares of Bharat Forge gained more than 2 percent on February 12 after the company’s management remained positive about demand recovery in the upcoming quarters, while releasing Q3 results.

Amara Raja Energy &amp;amp; Mobility shares meanwhile fell 6 percent to close at Rs 857 apiece.
Bharat Forge Q3 Results:
Bharat Forge on February 12 reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 272.8 crore for the October-December quarter of FY26, marking a 28 percent YoY increase from the Rs 212.78 crore during the same period last year.

The firm’s revenue from operations meanwhile rose around 25 percent YoY to Rs 4,342.93 crore during the quarter under review.

Along with the Q3 results, the company declared an interim dividend of Rs 2 per equity share. The record date to determine the eligibility of the shareholders set to receive the payment has been set on February 18. The dividend will be paid to the eligible shareholders on or before March 12.

Bharat Forge Chairman and MD B.N. Kalyani said, “Looking ahead into Q4 FY26 and FY27, it is fair to say that the worst is behind us and things are starting to look up. With both domestic and exports markets looking strong across sectors, and the commencement of ATAGS execution in H2 FY27, we expect high double-digit top line growth and commensurate impact on profitability.”
Amara Raja Q3 Results:
Amara Raja Energy &amp;amp; Mobility on February 11 reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 140.15 crore for Q3 FY26, marking a 53 percent year-on-year (YoY) fall from the Rs 298.37 crore net profit reported in Q3 FY25. This comes despite the company reporting a net exceptional gain of Rs 47.63 crore during the quarter under review, as against a one-time expense of Rs 111.07 crore during the year-ago period.

The firm’s revenue from operations however rose over 4 percent YoY to Rs 3,410.15 crore during the quarter under review. “The company reported healthy performance across key segments, led by strong automotive growth driven by rising OEM volumes, particularly in the domestic four-wheeler and allied segments. The Industrial battery business delivered steady performance in the UPS segment, while Telecom customers increasingly migrate to advanced Li-ion battery solutions. All information technology (IT) shares listed on the benchmark Nifty50 have remained under selling pressure over the past two years, delivering negative returns to investors, according to data from BSE Analytics.

<a href="https://www.moneycontrol.com/india/stockpricequote/computers-software/tataconsultancyservices/TCS">Tata Consultancy Services</a> (TCS) has declined more than 32 percent during the period. <a href="https://www.moneycontrol.com/india/stockpricequote/computers-software/infosys/IT">Infosys</a> has fallen 17 percent, Wipro is down 13 percent and HCL Technologies has slipped 10 percent.

Tech Mahindra is the only exception among the Nifty50 IT constituents, gaining 19 percent over the same two-year period.
<h3><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Market experts advise caution amid ongoing IT sector weakness</strong></span></h3>
Ajit Mishra, Senior Vice-President (Research) at Religare Broking, said concerns over lower discretionary spending in key global markets had earlier weighed on sentiment.

"Now, the narrative that AI is going to disrupt the business model for our IT companies is causing the damage. It is undoubtedly a big challenge to tackle but we feel it is too early to outright reject their comeback. Participants should keep their exposure low and wait for clarity in the coming quarters," he said.

Ruchit Jain, Vice President at Motilal Oswal Financial Services, said the Nifty IT index breached its 200-day exponential moving average support of 36,000 on February 4, indicating a change in trend.

"Since then, the index has continuously been under pressure and the stocks have witnessed volume-based selling. Hence, it is advisable to avoid any bottom fishing until there are signs of a trend reversal," he said.

In Thursday's trading session, the shares of Indian IT firms fell sharply in line with losses in their Wall Street peers after better-than-expected US jobs data for January reduced expectations of an early rate cut by the US Federal Reserve.

After falling 12.6 percent in 2025, the index has declined about 11 percent so far in 2026 amid concerns that AI-driven changes could impact earnings of software services companies.

"It’s a mix of knee-jerk reaction and concerns over real threat to IT," Vinit Bolinjkar, Head of Research at Ventura Securities, told Reuters. "AI automation targets labour-heavy models at top Indian IT firms, slashing billable hours and headcount," he added.

VK Vijayakumar, Chief Investment Strategist at Geojit Investments, said tech stocks are unlikely to recover soon following sharp declines in the American Depositary Receipts (ADRs) of leading Indian IT companies in the US.

"The latest US jobs data indicating addition of 1,30,000 jobs last month and unemployment falling to 4.3 per cent points to the possibility of no rate cuts by the Fed in the near term. In India, too, it appears that the rate-cutting cycle is over since growth is good and inflation is expected to inch back to the RBI’s long-term target by the end of FY27," he said.

Meanwhile, ICICI Bank overtook TCS to <a href="https://www.moneycontrol.com/news/business/markets/after-sbi-icici-bank-overtakes-market-cap-of-tcs-as-it-sell-off-deepens-on-ai-disruption-fears-13824934.html" target="_blank">become the fifth largest Indian company by market capitalisation</a> on February 12. This came a day after State Bank of India surpassed the IT major to take the fourth position, as TCS shares declined amid the broader AI-led tech selloff.

Shares of ICICI Bank rose nearly 2 percent on February 12, taking its market capitalisation to around Rs 10.2 lakh crore. TCS shares fell about 5 percent, with its market capitalisation slipping to Rs 9.99 lakh crore.

This is the first time TCS market capitalisation has fallen below the Rs 10 lakh crore mark since December 2020.
