Dynamatic Technologies shares corrected 0.6 percent to close at Rs 7,745 with above-average volumes on the NSE, continuing downtrend for sixth consecutive session.

The shares of <a href="https://www.moneycontrol.com/india/stockpricequote/power-transmissionequipment/adanienergysolutions/AT22">Adani Energy Solutions</a> jumped around 7 percent on October 29 as brokerages issued bullish calls for the stock despite fall in Q2 profit. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs 983.50 apiece earlier during the day.

Later, the stock pared some gains to close around 5 percent higher in the green at Rs 967.10 apiece.

Adani Energy Solutions Q2 results:

Adani Energy Solutions on October 27 reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 534 crore for the second quarter of the financial year 2026. This marks a 21 percent year-on-year (YoY) decline in net profit from the Rs 675 crore net profit reported in the same period last year.

The Adani Group firm's consolidated revenue from operations meanwhile rose 7 percent YoY to Rs 6,596 crore in Q2 FY26, as compared to Rs 6,184 crore in Q2 FY25. On a sequential basis, revenue fell 3.7 per cent from Rs 6767.2 crore.

ICICI Securities on Adani Energy Solutions:

ICICI Securities kept a 'Buy' call on the stock, with a target price of Rs 1,127 per share. This implies an upside potential of more than 22 percent from the stock’s previous closing price. Earnings increased on account of new assets and revenue was cut due to expectations of lower deprecation in older cost-plus assets, the brokerage said.

The domestic brokerage added that Adani Energy Solutions has robust pipelines for transmission and smart metering projects. “Execution of the under-construction transmission projects and smart meter deployment remain monitorable. On account of slower trajectory of execution compared to earlier estimates and subdued smart meter bidding activity, we have revised our estimates downwards,” it added.

The international brokerage said that the firm’s September quarter EBITDA was 4 percent above its estimates, due to better operational performance in the transmission segment. It added that profit was in line with estimate, and FY26E capex guidance was largely maintained.

Elara Capital on Adani Energy Solutions:

Elara Capital kept a target price of Rs 1,169 per share for the stock, while maintaining its ‘Buy’ rating. The latest target price implies an upside potential of nearly 27 percent from the stock’s previous closing price.

The brokerage said that the company is poised for robust growth across transmission, distribution, and smart meters.

Adani Energy Solutions shares jump up to 7% on bullish brokerage calls

The shares of Adani Energy Solutions jumped around 7 percent on October 29 as brokerages issued bullish calls for the stock despite fall in Q2 profit. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs 983.50 apiece earlier during the day.

Later, the stock pared some gains to close around 5 percent higher in the green at Rs 967.10 apiece.

Adani Energy Solutions Q2 results:

Adani Energy Solutions on October 27 reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 534 crore for the second quarter of the financial year 2026. This marks a 21 percent year-on-year (YoY) decline in net profit from the Rs 675 crore net profit reported in the same period last year.

The Adani Group firm's consolidated revenue from operations meanwhile rose 7 percent YoY to Rs 6,596 crore in Q2 FY26, as compared to Rs 6,184 crore in Q2 FY25. On a sequential basis, revenue fell 3.7 per cent from Rs 6767.2 crore.

ICICI Securities on Adani Energy Solutions:

ICICI Securities kept a 'Buy' call on the stock, with a target price of Rs 1,127 per share. This implies an upside potential of more than 22 percent from the stock’s previous closing price. Earnings increased on account of new assets and revenue was cut due to expectations of lower deprecation in older cost-plus assets, the brokerage said.

The domestic brokerage added that Adani Energy Solutions has robust pipelines for transmission and smart metering projects. “Execution of the under-construction transmission projects and smart meter deployment remain monitorable. On account of slower trajectory of execution compared to earlier estimates and subdued smart meter bidding activity, we have revised our estimates downwards,” it added.

The shares of oil marketing companies (OMC) surged on October 29, as global oil prices extended decline. This comes as a potential output increase by the OPEC+ increased concerns around over supply.

Oil prices have now extended a three-day fall, with Brent crude futures falling to $64.33 a barrel, and US West Texas Intermediate crude futures dropping to $60.08.

Brent and WTI had registered their biggest weekly gains last week since June after US President Donald Trump imposed sanctions on Russia for the first time in his second term, targeting major oil companies Lukoil and Rosneft. However, doubts now persist that the sanctions would be offset by oversupply and talk of an OPEC+ output increase.

OPEC+, the world’s largest grouping of oil-producing nations, is planning for a modest output boost in December, Reuters reported citing people familiar with the matter.  Several members of the organization that pumps about half the world's oil, are likely to agree on Sunday to increase December output targets by another 137,000 bpd, the report added.

The fall in oil prices will likely help the margins of the OMC firms.

Notably, the company on October 27 had reported a <a href="https://www.moneycontrol.com/news/business/ioc-q2-results-maharatna-psu-posts-285-percent-jump-in-quarterly-profit-13634890.html">whopping 285 percent on-year jump in consolidated net profit</a> for the second quarter of the financial year FY26 on October 27, despite a marginal increase in revenue.

Revenue from operations for the second quarter came in at Rs 2.06 lakh crore, up 3.9 percent from Rs 1.98 lakh crore a year ago. Its net profit attributable to shareholders was at Rs 7,817.55 crore for the quarter that ended September as against Rs 169.58 crore in the same quarter last year.

Hindustan Petroleum (<a href="https://www.moneycontrol.com/india/stockpricequote/refineries/hindustanpetroleumcorporation/HPC">HPCL</a>) shares jumped more than 2 percent. The company is set to release its results for the second quarter of the financial year 2026 today. Bharat Petroleum (<a href="https://www.moneycontrol.com/india/stockpricequote/refineries/bharatpetroleumcorporation/BPC">BPCL</a>) shares also gained more than 2 percent. <a href="https://www.moneycontrol.com/india/stockpricequote/refineries/mangalorerefinerypetrochemicals/MRP">Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals</a> shares gained around 4 percent.

The Nifty Oil &amp; Gas index is up nearly 2 percent, as seen at 2.07 pm.

The shares of these export-oriented companies had significantly declined earlier after the Trump administration increased tariffs on Indian imports to a whopping 50 percent, citing New Delhi's continued purchase of Russian oil. However, the rising expectations of India-US finalizing on the trade deal boosted the export-oriented shrimp and textile stocks, who derive a significant portion of their revenue from the American market.
