Singapore-based investor Akash Prakash-owned Amansa Holdings has acquired additional 1.1 percent equity stake in Clean Science and Technology, the speciality chemicals manufacturer, via open market transactions on February 2.

Despite this, Clean Science shares fell more than 1 percent to end at new all-time closing low of Rs 799.7, though recovered sharply from intraday record low was Rs 769.55 and formed small bearish candle with long lower shadow on the daily timeframe, signalling significant buying interest at lower levels.

Amansa Holdings has bought 11.79 lakh shares (equivalent to 1.1 percent of paid-up equity) in <a href="https://www.moneycontrol.com/india/stockpricequote/speciality-chemicals/cleansciencetechnology/CST">Clean Science</a> for Rs 93.39 crore. The acquisition price for these shares was Rs 791.84 per share.

Amansa held 1.26 percent stake in Clean Science as of December 2025.

<a href="https://www.moneycontrol.com/india/stockpricequote/trading/jinkushalindustries/JIL05">Jinkushal Industries</a>, the heavy construction machinery refurbising company, was also in action but shares failed to close in green, falling 0.2 percent to close at Rs 69.5 after intraday recovery.

Royal Alpha Opportunity Fund has acquired 1.96 lakh shares in Jinkushal at Rs 69.59 per share for Rs 1.36 crore, and Vorton Opportunities Fund bought 3.92 lakh shares at Rs 69.49 per share for Rs 2.72 crore.

Lloyds Enterprises remained buyer in <a href="https://www.moneycontrol.com/india/stockpricequote/steel-mediumsmall/indiahomes/ISW">India Homes</a>, acquiring additional 75 lakh shares (1.88 percent stake) in the steel products maker at Rs 13.3 per share for Rs 9.97 crore, however, M K Banka (HUF) offloaded 74.74 shares (1.87 percent stake) at same price for Rs 9.94 crore.

On February 1, Lloyds Enterprises bought 1.8 percent stake in India Homes, in addition to 3.43 percent shareholding as of December 2025. But India Homes shares declined 2.06 percent stake to Rs 13.3 on the BSE.

<h3><strong>Budget reforms for EMS sector:</strong></h3>
While presenting Union Budget 2026, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced a sharp increase in the allocation for the Electronics Component Manufacturing Scheme (ECMS) to Rs 40,000 crore. The ECMS, notified by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology on April 8, 2025, was originally launched with an outlay of Rs 22,919 crore over six years.

The scheme aims to develop a robust domestic electronics component base by offering targeted incentives across 11 key segments, including printed circuit boards, capacitors, resistors, display modules and other critical components.

The enhanced outlay is expected to boost domestic value addition, curb import dependence on critical components, and strengthen the integration of Indian manufacturers into global supply chains.
<h3><strong>Brokerages on EMS:</strong></h3>
CLSA said that the budget marks a "pivot point" for electronics manufacturing. It added that the government allocation supports domestic component manufacturing and integration. However, it flagged near-term risks from lower smartphone assembly incentives.

Jefferies meanwhile said that higher allocation supports the medium-term outlook for electronic companies, but flagged execution timelines and the expiry of assembly-linked incentives as near-term risks for some players.

Nomura flagged continued policy support for electronics and semiconductors in the Budget as a key positive within a fiscally restrained framework.

"A boost to the semi-conductor sector and electronics manufacturing along with strategies to establish dedicated Rare Earth Corridors, clearly establishes the intention towards not only making the Indian economy self-reliant, but also ring fence the economy from global unrests that tend to disturb the supply chain ecosystem," said Prashant Kumar, Managing Director &amp; CEO of Yes Bank.

"Budget 2026 marks a structural shift in India’s semiconductor strategy by recognising that scale without sustainability is not globally competitive. With India Semiconductor Mission 2.0 and a proposed Rs 40,000 crore outlay for electronics manufacturing, the focus now moves beyond capacity creation to process excellence," said Deepak Pahwa - Chairman, Pahwa Group.

It also raised capitalization guidance for the ongoing financial year to Rs 22,000 crore from the earlier Rs 20,000 crore.

The upward revision reflects strong execution visibility for FY26 and beyond, Power Grid said.

The state-owned company’s capex as on January 31, 2026 stood at Rs 29,200 crore, already beyond its previous guidance, while capitalization was reported at Rs 18,700 crore.

The power transmission company said it is on track to achieve its plans of capital expenditure and capitalisation for FY26. Moreover, it is poised to exceed its annual guidance for capitalisation and capital expenditure, according to the presentation.

Power Grid shares have gained more than 6 percent in the past five days, and fell more than 6 percent in the past six months. This came after the stock fell over 5 percent in the past one year, but rallied over 131 percent in the past five years.

The spending plan is higher than the Rs 11.21 lakh crore budgeted for the current fiscal year, which was the highest on record.

She also announced that the government was proposing to rejuvenate legacy industrial sectors, and set up infrastructure risk guarantee fund. The setting up of dedicated REITs to accelerate recycling of significant real estate assets of CPSEs was also among the Budget proposals.

"The Budget's emphasis on infrastructure-led growth, development of industrial corridors and manufacturing hubs, data centres, high speed rail corridors, dedicated freight corridor, recycling of significant real estate assets of CPSEs through dedicated REITs, Rs 5000 crore allocation per city economic regions (CER) over 5 years in tier 2&amp;3 cities including temple towns are step towards amplifying the potential of these cities to deliver the economic growth," said Samir Jasuja, founder and CEO, PropEquity.

"For equity markets, the Budget is structurally positive, offering improved earnings visibility through infrastructure-led growth and policy certainty. L&amp;T Q3 Results:

Larsen &amp; Toubro (L&amp;T) on January 28 reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 3,215 crore for Q3 FY26, marking a 4 percent YoY fall from Rs 3,358.84 crore net profit reported in Q3 FY25. This however included a one-time exceptional cost of Rs 1,191 crore due to the implementation of new labour codes last year.

Moneycontrol’s poll of brokerages had estimated the firm’s net profit to rise to Rs 4,524 crore.

<h3><strong>Oil prices decline:</strong></h3>
Brent crude futures were down $3.30, or 4.8 percent to $66.02 per barrel on Monday. U.S. West Texas Intermediate crude fell $3.23, or nearly 5 percent to $61.98 per barrel. This came after the prices hit multi-months highs earlier when US President Donald Trump threatened military intervention on Iran if it did not agree to a nuclear deal or continued killing protesters.

Later on Saturday, Trump told reporters that Iran was "seriously talking". This came hours after Tehran's top security official Ali Larijani said arrangements for negotiations were underway. "The crude oil market is interpreting this as an encouraging step back from confrontation, easing the geopolitical risk premium built into the price during last week's rally and prompting a bout of profit-taking," Reuters quoted IG market analyst Tony Sycamore as saying.

"Technically, crude oil day trend is likely to remain down side, where 5800 level will act as crucial resistance and selling can be initiated near this level. While, 5600 will be key support, a bounce is likely expected from support level. Selling pressure is likely to increase below support levels as prices have formed bearish candles which signaling a profit booking in crude oil for today's session," said Nirpendra Yadav, Sr. Commodity Research Analyst at Bonanza.

UBS said that India's decision in the federal budget to avoid raising excise duty on retail fuel removes key near-term overhang for oil marketing companies (OMC), and is supportive of marketing margins.

The brokerage flagged higher power sector capex and incentives for clean energy, carbon capture and storage as positives for broader energy value chain

Hindustan Petroleum Corporation (<a href="https://www.moneycontrol.com/india/stockpricequote/refineries/hindustanpetroleumcorporation/HPC">HPCL</a>) shares jumped nearly 5 percent to trade at Rs 451.6 apiece. Bharat Petroleum Corporation (<a href="https://www.moneycontrol.com/india/stockpricequote/refineries/bharatpetroleumcorporation/BPC">BPCL</a>) and Indian Oil Corporation (<a href="https://www.moneycontrol.com/india/stockpricequote/refineries/indianoilcorporation/IOC">IOC</a>) shares also gained sharply.

While OMC stocks jumped, the shares of oil explorers tumbled. <a href="https://www.moneycontrol.com/india/stockpricequote/oil-drillingexploration/oilindia/OI13">Oil India</a> shares tumbled more than 5 percent, while Oil &amp; Natural Gas Corporation (<a href="https://www.moneycontrol.com/india/stockpricequote/oil-drillingexploration/oilnaturalgascorporation/ONG">ONGC</a>) shares gained nearly 3 percent.

OMC stocks rise up to 5% as oil prices decline on cooling US-Iran tensions; Oil India, ONGC fall

The shares of oil marketing companies (OMC) jumped in trade on February 2 as tensions between US and OPEC member Iran eased, boosting investor sentiment. The shares of oil explorers however declined.

The OMC stocks were among the top gainers on the Nifty Oil &amp;amp; Gas index, which itself was up more than 1 percent to 11,585.95 in the morning trading hours of Monday.
