The carmaker's <a href="https://www.moneycontrol.com/news/business/earnings/hyundai-motor-india-q2-results-net-profit-rises-14-to-rs-1-572-crore-13642725.html">Q2 consolidated revenue</a> rose 1 percent YoY to Rs 17,461 crore. Hyundai continued to face pressure from slowing domestic demand in India, mirroring a broader industry trend that has seen carmakers post single-digit profit growth over the past five quarters. However, a GST cut, which was effective September-end, is expected to revive demand across board.

Motilal Oswal on Hyundai Motor India:

Motilal Oswal said that the firm's profit beat its estimate, aided by better-than-expected margins. "HMIL is well positioned to benefit from the premiumization trend in India, given its mix in favor of SUVs," it said. "We also believe that higher-than-expected operating costs for the new Pune plant will impact earnings for the near to medium term," it added.

The domestic brokerage reiterated its 'Buy' call on the stock, with a target price of Rs 2,801 per share. This implies an upside potential of more than 16 percent from the stock's previous closing price.

JM Financial on Hyundai Motor India:

JM Financial said that the company's EBITDA margin stood at 13.9 percent, beating its estimate by 80 bps due to richer product mix and cost-control measures. "The domestic PV industry outlook remains strong, supported by GST rationalisation, the 8th Pay Commission, repo rate cuts, and improved liquidity. HMIL expects their domestic volumes to grow in line with the industry," it added.

"While margin pressure may arise from higher ramp-up costs at Pune (labour and depreciation costs to be ~25% higher than the Chennai plant) and marginal commodity-linked inflation, management aims to offset this through a favourable mix, strong exports, and disciplined cost control," it added.

HDFC Securities on Hyundai Motor India:

HDFC Securities maintained a 'Reduce' rating on the stock, with a target price of Rs 2,247 per share. This implies a downside potential of nearly 7 percent from the stock's previous closing price. "Management has highlighted higher near-term costs related to labor and manufacturing overheads until the new plant ramps up production. We believe this could partially reverse the recent EBITDA margin improvement over the next 2–3 quarters. While we remain positive on the PV industry over the medium term, led by GST rate rationalization, we are concerned about the company’s lack of aggression in the Indian market in terms of volumes and market share," it added.

International brokerages on Hyundai Motor India:

Jefferies said that the company beat estimates due to better margins. It added that export growth was strong, but noted that it is concerned about the company losing domestic passenger vehicle market share.

UBS said that new launches and robust SUV pipeline will improve product mix and margin expansion from FY27 onwards. Nomura meanwhile said that the company's market share will likely improve in H2 on new launches. It added that SUVs are expected to keep driving growth.

The shares of Bandhan Bank and DLF dropped in trade on October 31 after the July-September quarter results of the two companies failed to meet expectations. United Spirits shares meanwhile surged nearly 7 percent to hit a near four-month high of Rs 1,488 apiece.

Bandhan Bank Q2 Results:

This marks an 88 percent year-on-year (YoY) fall from the Rs 937 crore net profit reported in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year.

The private lender’s net interest income meanwhile dropped around 12 percent YoY to Rs 2,589 crore in Q2 FY26, from Rs 2,934 crore in Q2 FY25. Its <a href="https://www.moneycontrol.com/news/business/earnings/bandhan-bank-q2-results-net-profit-plunges-88-to-rs-112-crore-nii-drops-12-13643251.html">asset quality also deteriorated</a>, with net non-performing assets (NPA) rising nearly 14 percent YoY to Rs 1,843 crore.

Gross NPA rose nearly 15 percent YoY to Rs 7,015 crore, while gross NPA ratio increased to 5.02 percent. Net NPA ratio increased to 1.37 percent in Q2 FY26, from 1.29 percent in Q2 FY25. Its return on assets decreased to 0.06 percent during the quarter under review.

Nomura on Bandhan Bank:

Nomura held a ‘Neutral’ call on the stock, with a target price of Rs 170 per share. This implies a marginal downside potential from the stock’s previous closing price of Rs 170.58 apiece. The international brokerage said that the bank reported weak earnings with soft NIM and weaker asset quality.

It has cut the lender’s FY26-28 EPS estimates by 13-38 percent. It added that the loan growth was driven by secured assets.

CLSA on Bandhan Bank:

CLSA has downgraded Bandhan Bank shares from ‘Buy’ to ‘Accumulate’, while cutting its target price to Rs 190 apiece. This implies an upside potential of more than 11 percent from the stock’s previous closing price.

The international brokerage said that said the lender's net interest income and pre-provision operating (PPOP) were weak and credit costs were high, while adding that NIM has likely bottomed and will recover in the financial year 2027, CNBC-TV18 reported.

DLF Q2 Results:

This marks a 14.55 percent YoY decline from the Rs 1,381 crore net profit reported in the same period of the previous financial year. The firm’s revenue from operations meanwhile fell nearly 17% YoY to Rs 1,643 crore.

The company’s EBITDA stood at Rs 902 crore.

The company said that its new sales bookings for the second quarter stood at Rs 4,332 crore, driven by the successful maiden launch in Mumbai – The Westpark and continued healthy momentum in the super-luxury segment.

Morgan Stanley on DLF:

Morgan Stanley kept an ‘Overweight’ call on the stock, with a target price of Rs 900 per share. This implies an upside potential of nearly 16 percent from the stock’s previous closing price.

The international brokerage said that the firm’s Q2 pre-sales beat estimates.

Jefferies on DLF:

Jefferies kept a ‘Buy’ call on DLF, with a target price of Rs 1,000 per share. This implies an upside potential of nearly 29 percent from the stock’s previous closing price.

The international brokerage said that the real estate developer’s Q2 pre-sales beat estimates on Mumbai project sell-out and strong Dahlias sales. Revenue missed estimate as project recognition was deferred.

United Spirits Q2 Results:

Q2 Results impact: Bandhan Bank, DLF shares fall up to 8%, United Spirits hits 4-month high

The shares of Bandhan Bank and DLF dropped in trade on October 31 after the July-September quarter results of the two companies failed to meet expectations. United Spirits shares meanwhile surged nearly 7 percent to hit a near four-month high of Rs 1,488 apiece.

Bandhan Bank shares tumbled more than 8 percent to trade at Rs 156.50 apiece, the lowest level seen by the stock in October this year. DLF shares fell over 2.5 percent to trade at Rs 757 apiece.

Bandhan Bank Q2 Results:

Bandhan Bank on October 30 reported a net profit of Rs 112 crore for the second quarter of the financial year 2026. This marks an 88 percent year-on-year (YoY) fall from the Rs 937 crore net profit reported in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year.

The private lender’s net interest income meanwhile dropped around 12 percent YoY to Rs 2,589 crore in Q2 FY26, from Rs 2,934 crore in Q2 FY25. Its asset quality also deteriorated, with net non-performing assets (NPA) rising nearly 14 percent YoY to Rs 1,843 crore.

Gross NPA rose nearly 15 percent YoY to Rs 7,015 crore, while gross NPA ratio increased to 5.02 percent. Net NPA ratio increased to 1.37 percent in Q2 FY26, from 1.29 percent in Q2 FY25. Its return on assets decreased to 0.06 percent during the quarter under review.

Nomura on Bandhan Bank:

Nomura held a ‘Neutral’ call on the stock, with a target price of Rs 170 per share. This implies a marginal downside potential from the stock’s previous closing price of Rs 170.58 apiece. The international brokerage said that the bank reported weak earnings with soft NIM and weaker asset quality.

It has cut the lender’s FY26-28 EPS estimates by 13-38 percent. It added that the loan growth was driven by secured assets.

CLSA on Bandhan Bank:

CLSA has downgraded Bandhan Bank shares from ‘Buy’ to ‘Accumulate’, while cutting its target price to Rs 190 apiece. This implies an upside potential of more than 11 percent from the stock’s previous closing price.

The international brokerage said that said the lender's net interest income and pre-provision operating (PPOP) were weak and credit costs were high, while adding that NIM has likely bottomed and will recover in the financial year 2027, CNBC-TV18 reported.

DLF Q2 Results:

DLF on October 30 reported a net profit of Rs 1,180 crore for Q2 FY26. This marks a 14.55 percent YoY decline from the Rs 1,381 crore net profit reported in the same period of the previous financial year. The firm’s revenue from operations meanwhile fell nearly 17% YoY to Rs 1,643 crore.
