Force Motors, Veera Tanneries (VTPL), and the shareholders of VTPL executed the MoU on Friday, February 6, 2026, for the acquisition of 100% equity stake in VTPL. The total consideration for the transaction stands at Rs 175 crore.

For the quarter ended December (Q3FY26), the company reported a 252% surge in consolidated net profit to Rs 406.1 crore, compared with Rs 115.3 crore in the corresponding period last year.

Revenue rose 12.7% year-on-year to Rs 2,128.6 crore, up from Rs 1,889.5 crore.

The performance was supported by exceptional gains of Rs 211.2 crore, as against nil in the year-ago quarter.

The company’s total sales for January rose 4.6% year-on-year to 3,764 units, compared with 3,597 units in the same month last year.

Domestic sales increased 4.92% to 3,665 units, while exports declined 4.81% to 99 units, down from 104 units a year ago.

Reliance Consumer Products, the FMCG subsidiary of Reliance Industries, has acquired a majority stake in Australia’s popular “better-for-you” beverage company, Goodness Group Global (GGG).

Under the strategic partnership, Reliance Consumer Products will help promote Goodness Group’s flagship healthy beverage brands, such as Nexba and PACE—a hydration brand co-created with Australian cricket captain Pat Cummins—across new markets, including India.

The company’s Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) manufacturing facility at Tarapur (Palghar, Maharashtra) has received the Establishment Inspection Report, classifying the facility as Voluntary Action Indicated (VAI). This indicates that the facility is in a minimally acceptable state of compliance with current good manufacturing practices (CGMP).

Fitch Ratings has revised the outlook on the company’s Long-Term Foreign-Currency Issuer Default Rating (IDR) from Stable to Positive, while affirming the rating at ‘BB-’. Fitch has also affirmed the ‘BB’ rating on the company’s $800 million secured notes issued by its subsidiary, Biocon Biologics Global Plc.

Fitch said the positive outlook reflects its expectation of a sustained reduction in Biocon’s financial leverage following the reduction of liabilities using proceeds from a recent equity issuance.

Reliance Industries

Reliance Consumer Products, the FMCG subsidiary of Reliance Industries, has acquired a majority stake in Australia’s popular “better-for-you” beverage company, Goodness Group Global (GGG).

Under the strategic partnership, Reliance Consumer Products will help promote Goodness Group’s flagship healthy beverage brands, such as Nexba and PACE—a hydration brand co-created with Australian cricket captain Pat Cummins—across new markets, including India.

Ipca Laboratories

The company’s Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) manufacturing facility at Tarapur (Palghar, Maharashtra) has received the Establishment Inspection Report, classifying the facility as Voluntary Action Indicated (VAI). This indicates that the facility is in a minimally acceptable state of compliance with current good manufacturing practices (CGMP).

The US FDA inspected the said manufacturing facility from December 1 and December 5, 2025.

Power Finance Corporation, REC

Following the in-principle approval of the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA), Power Finance Corporation (PFC) has acquired 52.63 percent of the government’s shareholding in REC. Accordingly, PFC and REC are now operating as holding and subsidiary companies.

The Board of Directors of PFC took note of the Budget announcement and accorded its in-principle approval for restructuring in the form of a merger between PFC and REC, while ensuring that the merged entity continues to remain a government company.

Biocon

Fitch Ratings has revised the outlook on the company’s Long-Term Foreign-Currency Issuer Default Rating (IDR) from Stable to Positive, while affirming the rating at ‘BB-’. Fitch has also affirmed the ‘BB’ rating on the company’s $800 million secured notes issued by its subsidiary, Biocon Biologics Global Plc.

Fitch said the positive outlook reflects its expectation of a sustained reduction in Biocon’s financial leverage following the reduction of liabilities using proceeds from a recent equity issuance.

Tata Chemicals

The company has announced an investment of Rs 515 crore to set up a new greenfield manufacturing facility in Tamil Nadu as part of its capacity expansion and supply-chain strengthening strategy. The facility will manufacture iodised vacuum salt dried (IVSD) and will have an installed capacity of 210 kilo tonnes per annum (KTPA).

Tata Chemicals expects to complete the project within 36 months and will fund the investment through internal accruals and/or external financing.

Aurobindo Pharma

The United States Food and Drug Administration (US FDA) inspected Unit III, a formulation manufacturing facility of Eugia Pharma Specialities—a wholly owned subsidiary of the company—at Pashamylaram, Telangana, from January 27 to February 6.

The inspection concluded with 11 observations, which the company said are procedural in nature.

The Board has approved an estimated investment of approximately Rs 1,500 crore for a greenfield rail manufacturing facility, ‘BRAHMA’, at Umariya in Madhya Pradesh. The project is expected to be completed in a phased manner over five years.

The company has executed a Memorandum of Understanding to acquire 100 percent equity shares in Veera Tanneries for Rs 175 crore, subject to the deduction of applicable taxes.

Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency

The Board has approved raising funds of up to Rs 2,994 crore through a Qualified Institutions Placement (QIP) in one or more tranches, provided that the government’s shareholding—acting through the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy—does not dilute by more than 3.76 percent of the post-issue paid-up equity share capital of the company.

Mahindra and Mahindra

Mahindra Industrial Park Chennai (MIPCL), a joint venture between Mahindra World City Developers and Japan’s Sumitomo Corporation, has announced the commencement of operations of Mitsubishi Electric India’s air-conditioner and compressor manufacturing facility at Origins by Mahindra in Chennai.

Developed with an investment of Rs 2,100 crore, the facility underscores Mitsubishi Electric India’s long-term commitment to the Indian market.

With an annual production capacity of 3 lakh indoor and outdoor room air conditioners and 6.5 lakh compressors, the expansion supports the development of a strong regional supplier ecosystem and aligns with the Government of India’s “Make in India” initiative.

The shares of the automaker dropped to an intraday low of Rs 361 apiece, before recovering some losses. At close, the stock was down 1.4 percent at Rs 368.90 apiece.
<h3>Tata Motors PV Q3 Results:</h3>
Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles reported a <a href="https://www.moneycontrol.com/automobile/tata-motors-pv-slips-into-loss-in-q3-as-jlr-cyber-attack-cripples-margins-article-13813549.html">consolidated net loss of Rs 3,486 crore</a> for Q3 FY26, as against a net profit of Rs 5,406 crore in Q3 FY25. The earnings were impacted by a one-time exceptional cost of Rs 1,597 crore.

The automaker's revenue from operations fell 26 percent YoY to Rs 70,108 crore.

Tata Motors PV said that the cyber attack incident at Jaguar Land Rover last year continued to impact its earnings in Q3. However, it expects strong recovery in Q4.

"The overall global demand continues to remain challenging. We will step up our brand-led actions at JLR to drive up demand for our products and execute enterprise missions programme aimed at enhancing savings and cash flows. Domestic business continues to witness robust demand, and we will accelerate growth through exciting launches and innovations. Overall, we expect a sharp improvement in Q4, led by normalization of JLR volumes," the automaker said.
<h3>Motilal Oswal on Tata Motors PV:</h3>
Motilal Oswal said the firm’s net loss was much higher than its estimate, largely due to multiple headwinds in JLR, such as continued impact of the cyber incident, weak volumes in key regions and higher VME. “While JLR production is likely to normalize in 4Q, end demand remains weak in key regions and VME is likely to remain elevated at least in the near term,” it said.

The domestic brokerage added that while India business continues to do well, Jaguar Land Rover continues to face multiple headwinds. These include luxury tax in China hurting demand, impact of US tariffs on demand, stringent EU regulations including emissions and battery rules of origin, rising costs of doing business in UK, and rising VME given weak demand in key regions.

“Given the weaker-than-expected performance in 3Q, we now lower our EBITDA by 22%/4% for FY26E/FY27E. Given the significant challenges at JLR, we retain our Sell rating on the stock with an SoTP-based TP of INR323 per share. We continue to value both JLR and India PV business at 2x and 15x EV/EBITDA,” it added.
<h3>JM Financial on Tata Motors PV:</h3>
JM Financial said that JLR’s EBIT margin came in at -6.9 percent, impacted by production losses due to a cyberattack, tariff-related expenses, higher VME, unfavourable forex, and higher warranty costs.

“While global demand remains challenging, the company expects a recovery in 4Q led by normalisation of volumes and has therefore maintained its guidance of EBIT in the range of 0%-2% (-3% over 9MFY26) and negative free cash flow of £2.2-£2.5bn (-£3bn over 9MFY26). On JLR’s margin front, we expect higher VME, warranty costs and new model launch expenses to continue weighing on profitability. On the other hand, the India PV business posted an EBITDA margin of 6.8% (- 80bps YoY, +110bps QoQ), impacted by higher raw material and other expenses led by new launch costs,” it added.

Owing to JLR’s challenges, JM Financial maintained its ‘Reduce’ rating on the stock with a target price of Rs 357 per share. This implies a downside potential of nearly 5 percent from the stock’s previous closing price.
<h3>HDFC Securities on Tata Motors PV:</h3>
Besides weak demand globally, Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) is also facing structural headwinds from its business in China as JLR’s addressable market gets disrupted by a higher luxury tax at the top end of its portfolio and by strong competition from Chinese OEMs at the lower end, said HDFC Securities.

“The India PV segment continues to do well and is expected to benefit from the ramp-up of Sierra’s sales, and thus benefit from higher operating leverage and improved mix,” it added.

UBS kept a ‘Sell’ call on the stock, with a target price of Rs 310 apiece. The international brokerage said that margin and FCF pressures are set to intensify in FY27–28 as competitive pressures persist and BEV headwinds weigh, warning that JLR's earnings risks are rising
