US-based Capital Group-owned Smallcap World Fund has acquired 0.66 percent equity stake in Kaynes Technology India, the IoT solutions-enabled integrated electronics manufacturing company, via open market transactions on December 12.

<a href="https://www.moneycontrol.com/india/stockpricequote/electronics-components/kaynestechnologyindia/KTI">Kaynes Technology</a> has seen consolidation in the current week before closing at Rs 4,265.5, up 5.54 percent on Friday in addition to 3.88 percent rally seen in previous session. Before bouncing back, the stock lost more than 50 percent from October high of Rs 7,705. The major reason behind the sharp fall was the governance and accounting concerns raised by Kotak Institutional Equities in its report. However, <a href="https://www.moneycontrol.com/news/business/markets/kaynes-tech-shares-rise-6-as-some-brokerages-say-structural-growth-story-remains-strong-check-target-prices-13721143.html" target="_blank">most other brokerages are not worried, as they believe there is no fraudulent intent</a>.

In the latest report, ICICI Direct believes the governance and accounting concerns are not expected to have any financial impact on the company and the firm's growth story remains intact. "These issues underscore the need for improved transparency and consistency in the company's reporting practices as these factors create trust issues and impact the multiple stock commands, the brokerage said.

Prabhudas Lilladher also remained bullish on the stock, maintaining its buy rating, while Macquarie has maintained its outperform rating on Kaynes Tech shares.

Smallcap World Fund Inc, which is involved in small cap investing globally, has picked up 4.46 lakh shares (equivalent to 0.66 percent of paid-up equity) in Kaynes Technology for Rs 188 crore at Rs 4,206.38 per share.

Meanwhile, there was an exchange of 0.75 percent shares in <a href="https://www.moneycontrol.com/india/stockpricequote/steel-mediumsmall/ushamartin/UM01">Usha Martin</a> via block deals. The stock rallied 2.57 percent to Rs 440.6 on the NSE.

3P India Equity Fund, Bandhan Mutual Fund, and Morgan Stanley acquired 23 lakh shares (0.75 percent stake) in Usha Martin from Peterhouse Investments India, the promoter group entity, for Rs 98.9 crore at Rs 430 per share.

3P India Equity Fund owned by ace investor Prashant Jain bought 11 lakh shares for Rs 47.3 crore, while Bandhan Mutual Fund and Morgan Stanley Asia Singapore Pte each purchased 6 lakh shares at Rs 25.8 crore at same price.

<h3><strong>Honasa Consumer acquires BTM Ventures:</strong></h3>
Honasa Consumer announced that it will acquire <a href="https://www.moneycontrol.com/news/business/markets/honasa-consumer-shares-rise-2-as-firm-enters-men-s-grooming-segment-with-reginald-men-acquisition-13723671.html">95 percent equity stake in BTM Ventures</a> via secondary purchase at an enterprise value of Rs 195 crore on a 'no-cash no-debt' basis over the next four weeks, subject to closing adjustments.

The acquisition of the remaining 5 percent stake in the company will be done via secondary purchase "upon completion of 12 months from completion of acquisition of aforesaid stake in accordance with pre-agreed valuation criteria as per Share Purchase and Shareholders' Agreement", Honasa said.

BTM Ventures, which is the parent company of Reginald Men, was founded in August 2022 by Trisha Reddy Talasani. It offers a curated range of men's products in the personal care category, especially sunscreen and serum which is a focus category for Honasa.

The company which had an annual turnover of only Rs 7,000 in FY23, rapidly grew its presence across India to record an annual turnover of Rs 20.15 crore in FY25. "Reginald Men has rapidly achieved significant organic traction in a short period of time by building a compelling multi functional narrative and clean, minimal packaging that resonates strongly with modern male consumers. Its Helios Moisturizing Sunscreen has emerged as the No. 1 most searched sunscreen for men on Google in India, underscoring the brand’s rising popularity and strong consumer pull," Honasa said.

"Domestic electronics production continues to expand, supported by rising consumption, ongoing capacity additions and policy incentives. The outlook from here will depend on how quarterly results shape up, particularly in terms of order visibility, utilisation rates and margin stability. If operating performance remains steady, sentiment may gradually stabilise, although near-term volatility is likely to persist as the market reassesses valuations after the recent run-up," he added.

The recent surge in Hindustan Zinc shares was mostly driven by the sharp rise in silver prices. Silver prices scaled new record highs today, as futures with March expiry crossed the Rs 2 lakh-mark for the first time ever today.

Earlier this week, silver crossed the $60-milestone mark for the first time in the spot market.

Hindustan Zinc is the largest producer of silver in India, and produces refined silver with a minimum 99.9 percent purity. The sharp rise in the bullion's prices is expected to further boost the stock.

The stock is accompanying its <a href="https://www.moneycontrol.com/news/business/markets/hind-copper-other-metal-stocks-rise-up-to-6-on-china-s-proactive-fiscal-policy-weaker-dollar-13722788.html">metal peers</a> after Chinese leaders have promised to maintain "proactive" fiscal policy next year to stimulate consumption and investment to maintain high economic growth. The prospect of fiscal stimulus could ease worries over the slowdown seen in the second half of 2026 in almost every area of the economy that is not contributing to China's trillion-dollar trade surplus.

Pro-growth policies in China are a positive for metal demand and pricing since China is the top producer as well as consumer of the commodity.

<h3><strong>Technical view on Hindustan Zinc:</strong></h3>
Hindustan Zinc has delivered a strong weekly breakout attempt, reclaiming the 540–550 resistance zone with a solid bullish candle and rising volume, said Drumil Vithlani, Technical Research Analyst  at Bonanza.

"The price structure has been forming higher lows since early 2025, indicating steady accumulation after a prolonged corrective phase. The stock is trading above the 20W and 50W EMAs, showing improving medium-term strength. RSI at 66 reflects healthy bullish momentum without being overextended yet. A sustained close above 555–560 can confirm a breakout toward 600, followed by 640 as the next positional target. On the downside, the 500–510 zone acts as strong support, and the overall structure remains positive as long as this level holds," the analyst added.
<h3><strong>Hindustan Zinc share price history:</strong></h3>
The shares of the company have jumped nearly 13 percent in the past five days, and more than 16 percent in the past one month. The stock has surged nearly 27 percent in 2025 so far.

After hitting a 52-week low of Rs 378.15 per share in March this year, the stock rebounded nearly 50 percent in nine months to its new record high level today.

However, the stock is still around 61 percent lower than its all-time high level of Rs 1,443 per share, which it had hit in January 2011.

The prospect of fiscal stimulus could ease worries over the slowdown seen in the second half of 2026 in almost every area of the economy that is not contributing to China's trillion-dollar trade surplus.

Pro-growth policies in China are a positive for metal demand and pricing since China is the top producer as well as consumer of the commodity.

Weak US dollar has been supporting metal stocks too.
Technical view on Hindustan Zinc:
Hindustan Zinc has delivered a strong weekly breakout attempt, reclaiming the 540–550 resistance zone with a solid bullish candle and rising volume, said Drumil Vithlani, Technical Research Analyst  at Bonanza.

&quot;The price structure has been forming higher lows since early 2025, indicating steady accumulation after a prolonged corrective phase. The stock is trading above the 20W and 50W EMAs, showing improving medium-term strength. RSI at 66 reflects healthy bullish momentum without being overextended yet. A sustained close above 555–560 can confirm a breakout toward 600, followed by 640 as the next positional target. On the downside, the 500–510 zone acts as strong support, and the overall structure remains positive as long as this level holds,&quot; the analyst added.
Hindustan Zinc share price history:
The shares of the company have jumped nearly 13 percent in the past five days, and more than 16 percent in the past one month. The stock has surged nearly 27 percent in 2025 so far.

After hitting a 52-week low of Rs 378.15 per share in March this year, the stock rebounded nearly 50 percent in nine months to its new record high level today.

However, the stock is still around 61 percent lower than its all-time high level of Rs 1,443 per share, which it had hit in January 2011.
