Tata Motors has officially been renamed to <a href="https://www.moneycontrol.com/india/stockpricequote/auto-lcvshcvs/tatamotorspassengervehicles/TM03">Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles</a>, with its new scrip id showing as 'TMPV' on stock exchanges. This comes after the stock adjusted to the demerger of its commercial vehicle business earlier this month.

The shares of the now demerged commercial vehicle business are expected to be listed on stock exchanges BSE and NSE later.

Tata Motors demerger:

Earlier this month, the company fixed October 14 as the <a href="https://www.moneycontrol.com/news/business/markets/tata-motors-shares-jump-4-after-price-discovery-session-here-s-what-analysts-say-13614807.html">record date</a> for determining which shareholders are eligible to receive shares in its demerged commercial vehicle business. This means that investors who held Tata Motors shares as on the record date will be eligible for the demerger scheme.

These shareholders will get one share of the demerged entity for every one share of Tata Motors they own. The shares of TML Commercial Vehicles Ltd (TMLCV) are likely to begin trading on BSE and NSE in November. The demerger had already become effective from October 1. The stock adjustment took place on October 14.

In August last year, Tata Motors’ board approved the demerger of its commercial and passenger vehicle divisions into two separate listed entities in order to sharpen business focus and capitalise on future growth opportunities. Following the demerger, the passenger vehicle arm will be renamed Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles (TMPVL), while the commercial vehicles entity will be listed in November as Tata Motors (TML).

The 1:1 demerger will create two focused entities — Tata Motors Commercial Vehicles (TMLCV) and Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles (TMPV).

Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles shares were trading in the green with marginal losses at Rs 406.25 apiece after taking on its new name, as seen at 9.50 am. The stock had opened at Rs 400 apiece on October 14 after a special price-discovery session. The shares of the company are currently up nearly 2 percent since then.

In a statement, Bharat Forge said it had submitted a bid for the Indian Army’s Close Quarters Battle (CQB) Carbine programme for the supply of 4.25 lakh carbines in March 2023. "After rigorous trials by the Indian Army, the commercial bids were opened in July 2025. For this programme, BFL has been qualified as the L1 bidder for the supply of 60 percent of the total order. At present, the contract finalisation process is underway with the Ministry of Defence and the contract is not signed as on date," the company said.

Earlier, British aircraft engine maker Rolls-Royce announced the signing of a pact with Bharat Forge for the manufacturing and supply of fan blades for its Pearl 700 and Pearl 10X engines.

The agreement, signed at Rolls-Royce’s Dahlewitz facility near Berlin, marks an expansion of the existing collaboration between the two companies and supports the engine maker’s plan to double its supply chain sourcing from India by 2030, the company said in a statement.

The shares of EPack Prefab Technologies and Jain Resource Recycling rallied on October 23 as strong second quarter earnings boosted investor sentiment for the two newly-listed stocks.

EPack Prefab Technologies rallied 20 percent to hit the upper circuit at Rs 233.67 apiece, while Jain Resource Recycling shares jumped more than 9 percent to hit a day’s high at Rs 387.98 apiece.

EPack Prefab Technologies Q2 Results:

This marks a whopping 104 percent year-on-year increase from the Rs 14.43 crore net profit reported in the same period last year.

The firm's revenue from operations meanwhile rose around 62 percent YoY to Rs 434 crore during Q2 FY26, from Rs 268 crore in Q2 FY25.
