The shares of the company closed at Rs 381.60 apiece on Monday, the lowest level seen by the stock in over three weeks.

Biocon on December 6 announced that its board has considered and approved the plan to acquire the remaining 23.3 percent equity stake in Biocon Biologics, to make it the pharma giant's 100 percent wholly-owned subsidiary. The shares will be bought from Mylan, Serum Institute Life Sciences, Tata Capital Growth Fund II and Activ Pine LLP.

The company added that the board has approved the offer and issuance of more than 17 crore equity shares of the company on a preferential basis, aggregating to an amount up to Rs 6,950 crore. The board also approved the plan to raise up to Rs 4,500 crore via qualified institutions placement (QIP), rights issue, preferential allotment or private placement.
<h3><strong>Here's what analysts say:</strong></h3>
Systematix Institutional Equities analyst Vishal Manchanda said that to buyout minority interest in Biocon Biologics, Biocon may have to raise Rs 10,000 crore-Rs 15,000 crore, which would mean meaningful dilution for shareholders of the company.

Speaking with CNBC TV18, Dharmesh Kant, Head Research at Chola Securities, said that while the street may have anticipated the move to make Biocon Biologics a 100 percent subsidiary, the <a href="https://www.moneycontrol.com/news/business/stocks/biocon-merger-is-earnings-dilutive-avoid-ems-sector-for-now-says-dharmesh-kant-alpha-article-13714752.html">deal is likely to be dilutive to earnings</a> per share (EPS).

Iskraemeco also reported year-end payables of Rs 320 crore to Kaynes Technology and Rs 180 crore to Kaynes Electronics Manufacturing, along with receivables of Rs 190 crore from Kaynes Technology. These balances, Kotak noted, do not appear in the corresponding disclosures of Kaynes Technology or Kaynes Electronics Manufacturing.

Kaynes Technology issued a clarification on December 5, stating that these were inadvertently not disclosed in the standalone financial statements. “This has been rectified and has been noted for future compliance. This transaction was part of the overall financial statement in both the entities,” the firm said.

Broader market sentiment remained weak, mirroring declines in the Sensex and Nifty as investors turned cautious ahead of the US Federal Reserve’s policy meeting and continued foreign fund outflows.

The Sensex fell 609.68 points or 0.71 percent to 85,102.69, while the broader Nifty declined to 25,960.55, down 225.90 points or 0.86 percent.

The shares of <a href="https://www.moneycontrol.com/india/stockpricequote/retailing/lenskartsolutions/LSL">Lenskart Solutions</a> fell more than 3 percent on December 8 after the one-month shareholder lock-in period came to an end.

The shares dropped to Rs 403.20 apiece on Monday. The stock has made only marginal gains over its IPO price in the first one month since listing.

Around 4.07 crore shares or 2 percent of the company's stake will free up for trade as the lock-in comes to an end today, CNBC-TV18 quoted Nuvama Alternative &amp; Quantitative Research as saying. The said number of shares will be cumulatively worth around Rs 1,700 crore based on the stock's previous closing price of Rs 417.20 per share.

However, this does not imply that all these shares will be offloaded in the market immediately. The expiry of the lock-in period simply means that these shares can now be traded.
<h3><strong>How have Lenskart shares performed since listing?</strong></h3>
Lenskart shares are currently up only 0.3 percent from the <a href="https://www.moneycontrol.com/news/business/markets/lenskart-shares-list-at-3-discount-despite-28x-subscription-this-brokerage-says-sell-sees-up-to-14-downside-13662988.html">IPO price</a> of Rs 403.2 apiece, and more than 2 percent from its listing price of Rs 395 per share on NSE.

The stock had listed with a discount on stock markets on November 10. This came despite the Rs 7,278-crore IPO seeing strong investor interest during its three days of public bidding, being subscribed more than 28 times its offer size.

After listing, the stock rose nearly 14 percent to hit a high of Rs 448.80 apiece on December 1. However, the shares of the popular eyewear-retailer have now fallen nearly 10 percent since then.
<h3><strong>Lenskart Q2 Results:</strong></h3>
Lenskart in November reported a <a href="https://www.moneycontrol.com/news/business/earnings/lenskart-q2-net-profit-rises-20-to-rs-103-5-crore-revenue-up-21-yoy-13702726.html">net profit of Rs 103.5 crore</a> for the second quarter of the financial year 2026. This marked a 20 percent year-on-year (YoY) increase from the Rs 86.3 crore net profit reported in the same period of the previous financial year.

Its revenue from operations rose 21 percent YoY to Rs 2,096 crore in Q2 FY26.
