As per the bulk deals data, SBI Mutual Fund has picked up 22.4 lakh shares (equivalent to 5.73 percent of paid-up equity capital) for Rs 634.8 crore at Rs 2,833.96 per share. The fund house through its Multi Asset Allocation Fund already held 3.64 percent stake in Privi.

Bhaumikbhai Kiritbhai Doshi also net bought 1.88 lakh shares in the chemical company at Rs 2,836.91 per share, amounting to Rs 53.39 crore. However, promoter entity Vivira Investment and Trading sold 36.28 lakh shares (9.28 percent stake) for Rs 1,029.8 crore at Rs 2,838 per share.

HDFC Mutual Fund through HDFC Balanced Advantage Fund (HDFCGR) has bought 13.13 lakh shares (0.75 percent stake) in the infrastructure construction company for Rs 261 per share at Rs 34.28 crore, however, Pine Oak Global Fund sold 14 lakh shares (0.8 percent stake) for Rs 36.5 crore at Rs 261.04 per share.

Pungalia family offloaded 4.01 percent stake in <a href="https://www.moneycontrol.com/india/stockpricequote/engineering-construction/vishnuprakashrpunglia/VPP01">Vishnu Prakash R Punglia</a>, the infrastructure development company, for Rs 26.72 crore. As a result, the stock corrected 4.81 percent to Rs 52.65, the all-time closing low. In last one year, the stock lost 85 percent from its record high of Rs 345.75 in December 2024.

Pushpa Pungalia sold 15 lakh shares in Vishnu Prakash R Punglia at Rs 53.4 per share for Rs 8.01 crore, Pushpa Devi Pungalia 15 lakh shares at Rs 53.2 per share for Rs 7.98 crore, Anil Punglia 10 lakh shares at Rs 53.75 per share for Rs 5.37 crore, and Vijay Punglia 10 lakh shares at Rs 53.62 per share for Rs 5.36 crore.

However, Jaliyan Commodity acquired 13.46 lakh shares (1.08 percent stake) in Vishnu Prakash R Punglia at Rs 52.58 per share for Rs 7.07 crore.

Jupiter India Fund, and The Jupiter Global Fund-Jupiter India Select acquired 15 lakh shares (0.47 percent stake) in <a href="https://www.moneycontrol.com/india/stockpricequote/trading/swancorp/SM09">Swan Corp</a> for Rs 70.2 crore at Rs 468 per share, however, Jainam Broking was the seller in this deal, offloading 15 lakh shares at same price. The stock was down 0.5 percent to Rs 468.85.

Ajit Mishra – SVP, Research at Religare Broking, said "This is the continuation of the rebound which we have been seeing in recent weeks, however, sustainability would be key, citing the similar rebounds have fizzled out in the past, especially in the small-cap space."

The Nifty Smallcap 100 index also snapped a three-day losing streak to recover all its losses and rise up to 1 percent, after declining over 1 percent in the previous three sessions.

<a href="https://www.moneycontrol.com/india/stockpricequote/carbon-black/pcblchemical/PCB01" target="_blank">PCBL Chemical</a> led the smallcap gains, rising about 7 percent.

Other smallcap gainers included IFCI, Deepak Fertilisers and Petrochemicals Corporation, Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals, and NCC, which rose up to 6 percent.

<h3><strong>Vodafone Idea AGR relief today?</strong></h3>
The Union Cabinet is expected to meet at 3 pm today to consider Vodafone Idea's AGR relief matter, several media reports claimed. The government is likely to consider a partial waiver of interest, penalties and interest on penalties that make the majority of the telco's adjusted gross revenue (AGR) dues, CLSA had earlier said.

"The government is working on reassessment of Vodafone Idea's AGR dues and reportedly a relief package will likely be announced by year-end. Vi’s aggregate AGR dues stood at an estimated ~780bn/US$8.7bn in Q2FY26. We believe the government will likely consider waiver of interest (at least in part) and penalties and interest on penalties that make up a bulk of the AGR dues," the brokerage has said. The relief on the long pending AGR dues could provide Vi will relief of $8 billion, it added.

The debt-laden operator has repeatedly warned it cannot survive without funding support, as banks remain wary of lending given its financial stress. Vi employs over 18,000 people and has nearly 198 million subscribers.

Few weeks ago, the Supreme Court allowed the government to comprehensively reassess and reconcile all dues of the debt-ridden telecom company, including interest and penalties, up to FY17. This was seen as a major relief for the financially stressed operator.

In September, Vodafone Idea had sought a waiver of penalty and interest on an AGR demand worth Rs 9,450 crore raised by the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), arguing that much of it pertained to the pre-FY17 period already settled by the apex court in 2020. Out of this amount, Rs 2,774 crore relates to post-merger liabilities of Vodafone Idea, while Rs 5,675 crore pertains to pre-merger dues of the Vodafone Group.

The government became the largest shareholder in Vodafone Idea in March this year after converting dues worth Rs 36,950 crore into equity, taking its stake to nearly 49 percent. Earlier, in 2023, the Centre had picked up a 33 percent stake in lieu of statutory dues exceeding Rs 16,000 crore.
