The shares of <a href="https://www.moneycontrol.com/india/stockpricequote/constructioncontracting-real-estate/puravankara/PP01">Puravankara</a> jumped more than 19 percent on December 23 after the company announced that it has acquired a 53.5-acre land parcel in Bengaluru.

The shares of the real estate developer rose to Rs 287.30 apiece, the highest level seen by the stock is around two months.

Puravankara announced that it has acquired the land parcel spanning across 53.5 acres of land in Bengaluru's Anekal Taluk. It said the acquisition further strengthens its presence in one of the city's emerging residential growth corridors.

"The acquisition is aligned with the company's strategy to expand across Bengaluru micro-markets, supported by improved infrastructure, strong connectivity, and sustained end-user demand," it said.

Ashish Puravankara, Managing Director at Puravankara, said, "This acquisition is part of our ongoing efforts to systematically add quality developable land to our launch pipeline across strategic micro-markets. This reflects our disciplined approach to growth with a long-term view for the organisation, and also confidence in the fundamentals of these markets to create large, sustainable communities."

The newly acquired land parcel at Attibele Hobli is strategically located and has a saleable area of 6.4 msft, with a potential gross development value of over Rs 4,800 crores, the company said.

The project is located in a micro-market marked by strong end-user demand and limited availability of developable land, said Mallanna Sasalu, CEO - South, Puravankara. "Before this acquisition, during H1 FY26, we added a total of 6.36 million sq ft of developable area in Bengaluru and Mumbai, with an estimated gross development value of Rs 9,100 crores. The addition of another Rs 4,800 crores brings the potential GDV to Rs 13,900 crores and the developable area to 12.76 msft for the year to date," he said.

Sasalu added that Puravankara advanced its Bengaluru growth plans through strategic acquisitions   earlier this year. "This includes partnering with KVN Property Holdings LLP for a 24.59-acre parcel at KIADB Hardware Park in North Bengaluru, with a developable area of 3.48 msft and a potential GDV of over Rs 3,300 crores, as well as a joint development for a 5.5-acre parcel in Balegere, East Bengaluru, with a developable area of 0.85 msft and a potential GDV of over Rs 1,000 crore," he further said.

Puravankara shares gained nearly 8 percent in the past one week, but is down more than 31 percent in 2025 so far. This comes after the stock surged over 200 percent in the past three years.

After hitting a 52-week high of Rs 415 apiece in December last year, the stock dropped around 50 percent in around 5 months to hit a 52-week low of Rs 208.70 apiece in May this year. The stock has regained 38 percent since then. However, it is still down around 31 percent from its 52-week high level.

Ola Electric Mobility on December 18 announced that its promoter and CEO Bhavish Aggarwal has completed the sale of a small portion of his personal shareholding to fully repay promoter-level loan of approximately Rs 260 crore.

In an exchange filing released in post-market hours of December 22, Ola Electric said that after the completion of the one-time monetization of a portion of Aggarwal’s shareholding, it confirms that "the proceeds from the sale have been utilized for repayment of debt, interest and charges thereon and the remainder will be used for payment of applicable taxes pertaining to the aforesaid transactions in due course".

"Following the repayment of the debt, all promoter-level share pledges aggregating to approximately 3.93% of the Company’s total equity have been fully released. The promoter group continues to hold 34.6% in Ola Electric," the company said.

It added that it remains focused on building a globally competitive, India-first electric mobility and clean energy company.
<h3><strong>Ola Electric expands Hyperservice:</strong></h3>
Ola Electric on December 23 announced the launch of dedicated Hyperservice Centres, designed to offer same-day service guarantee to eligible customers at no additional cost. As part of this expansion, the company said that it will progressively upgrade its existing service centres into Hyperservice Centres, starting with Bengaluru.

The first Hyperservice Centre has already been operational in Indiranagar, Bengaluru.

Ola Electric said that the Hyperservice Centre is designed to fundamentally simplify and speed up the service experience. Customers will be able to get their vehicles serviced within the same day, without paying anything extra, while experiencing a fully digital and transparent service journey end-to-end.

"As part of the ongoing service upgrade we are reimagining many of the fundamental aspects of the service experience. We see it as a core part of Ola ownership, and it needs the same level of innovation as the product itself. With Hyperservice Centres, we are setting a new benchmark – same-day service guarantee. At no extra cost for any customer. This is about using technology, process redesign and scale to remove friction and give every Ola customer a faster, simpler and more transparent service experience," said a spokesperson for Ola Electric.

The company aims to rapidly upgrade its select service centres to Hyperservice Centres pan-India over the coming weeks, upgrading service infrastructure nationwide after the Bengaluru launch. "The expansion reinforces Ola's focus on building a world-class EV ownership experience by combining technology, scale and customer-first design to raise industry standards for speed and reliability," it added.

Ola Electric shares had fallen more than 17 percent in just three sessions as founder and promoter Bhavish Aggarwal consistently sold part of his stake. The stock has now rebounded since then.

Canara HSBC Life Insurance Company shares advanced to a fresh 52-week high on Tuesday following strong buying interest after brokerage Investec initiated coverage on the insurer with a ‘Buy’ rating.

The stock hit a 52-week high of Rs 157.11 on the National Stock Exchange, marking a jump of about 18 percent. It opened the session with a sharp gain of 17.92 percent and extended its rally for the second consecutive day.

However, the stock pared most of its early gains during the session. At around 2 pm, shares of <a href="https://www.moneycontrol.com/india/stockpricequote/lifehealth-insurance/canarahsbclifeinsurancecompany/CHL02">Canara HSBC Life</a> were trading at Rs 137.51 apiece, up 3.21 percent.

Investec has initiated coverage on the insurer, a joint venture between Canara Bank and HSBC Insurance, with a ‘Buy’ call and a target price of Rs 225. The brokerage sees an upside potential of about 69 percent from Monday’s closing price of Rs 133.23.

In its note, Investec said Canara HSBC Life is a professionally run insurer that has delivered a 21 percent compound annual growth rate in annualised premium equivalent over the past decade, a key metric for the insurance sector.

The brokerage added that HSBC’s plans to double its branch network over the next two to three years, along with the insurer’s efforts to scale up its distribution channels, could help the company grow faster than the industry over the next three years, reported Informist.
