CM Yogi inaugurated the three-day Mango Festival at Awadh Shilpgram, Lucknow, and met farmers showcasing over 800 varieties of mangoes from different states.

Shipments of mangoes to cities like London and Dubai were flagged off. A mango souvenir was also unveiled during the launch of the festival.

Among the mangoes displayed was a unique variety named ‘Sindoor Aam’, dedicated to the Indian Army, drawing attention from visitors and officials alike.

Stalls at the festival offered mango rasgulla, mango jalebi, murabba, pickles, juice, and mango leather. These products were available for sale to visitors.

A mango eating competition is scheduled as part of the three-day event, giving visitors a fun way to engage with the festival.

This year’s event features 800 mango varieties with 2853 samples. A total of 1449 participants, including those with preserved items, are showcasing their entries.
