Back To The Classroom: Is India Ready To Reopen Schools?

Popularly known in Kerala as ‘Collector Bro’, Prasanth is an IAS officer who earned praise for his exemplary work in citizen friendly and participative governance. His hunger eradication project ‘Operation Sulaimani’ won several international awards. Prasanth is considered as a pioneer in using social media for good governance in India. He has served in various sectors including Tourism, Taxation, Transport and Energy. Prasanth is also a writer and has scripted movies & short films, including one screened at Cannes. Prasanth is currently the Managing Director of Kerala Shipping & Inland Navigation Corporation. He is an alumnus of Kerala University and the Asian Institute of Management.

Dr. Zirak has over 19 years of clinical experience with educational psychology and guiding children with learning disabilities, autism etc. He serves as advisor at Mpower, a holistic centre of excellence providing services for children with mental health concerns. He is also Medical Director at the Aditya Birla Integrated School. A prolific author, Dr. Zirak also conducts workshops & seminars across the country. He was adjudged among “50 Top Global Mental Health Leaders“ in 2019. He is an alumnus of the Westchester Medical Centre at New York University.

A educationist with over two decades experience, Mansoor was instrumental in establishing the first DPS school in Bengaluru way back in the early 2000s. He is currently the Vice President of Karnataka Federation of Independent Schools Managements (KFISM), and also serves as General Secretary of the Managements of Independent CBSE Schools Association Karnataka (MICSA-K). Mansoor has also been the founder of the School of India and is a director of Think CIQ, a unique and interactive platform for children, parents and mentors to come together & share ideas. Mansoor is an alumnus of the Bangalore Univerity.

Sumeet has more than 20 years of experience in leadership positions in the field of education. As co-founder of LEAD, Sumeet is responsible for making quality ed-tech systems accessible to schools. Prior to LEAD, Sumeet was CEO of Zee Learn where he transformed the institution into an education leader with presence in pre-schools and K-10 schools. Sumeet had earlier spent eight years at Procter & Gamble Singapore, where he was involved in brand management and leading businesses in Australia, Southeast Asia, and India. Sumeet is an alumnus of IIM-Ahmedabad and PEC Chandigarh.
