MR. CHITTARANJAN REGE is Head - Base Metals, with Multi Commodity Exchange of India Ltd. (MCX). At MCX, he is responsible for promoting metals vertical; imparting MCX mechanism knowledge amongst the corporates; making MCX a preferred hedging destination; and envisaging and evolving various contracts, which will suit physical market requirements. Mr. Rege has over twenty two years of experience in financial and commodity risk management both as part of a corporate treasury team and with leading financial consultancies. Prior to joining MCX, he worked with Hindalco Industries, financial consulting firms namely Ernst & Young, Mecklai Financial and Commercial Services, and Metco Marketing (India) Pvt. Ltd. in Mumbai. In addition to an MBA (Marketing), Mr. Rege has undergone training at the London Metal Exchange (LME).

He has rich experience, having worked with ICICI Bank & CITI Bank. His last assignment before joining Karvy group was with MCX Stock Exchange Ltd, where he handled business development with respect to Banks and Institutions. Mr. Ramesh Varakhedkar is member with NISM's certification examination committee and is a part of group who are developing certification examination on commodities. Mr. Ramesh Varakhedkar is also a part of the advisory panel with MCX for commodities business and with MSEI on Currency Derivatives business. He is an active key committee member of Capital Markets Committee with FTAPCCI - Federation of Telangana Andhra Pradesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He is trained in management through Accelerated General Management Program from IIM - Ahmedabad and MDP program - Executive Program in Applied Finance from IIM - Calcutta.
