China on Tuesday expressed shock over the deadly bomb blast in Delhi on Monday that killed 12 people and injured several others.
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian, addressing the media in Beijing, extended condolences to the victims and their families, offering sincere sympathies and wishing a speedy recovery to those injured. He added that, according to available information, no Chinese nationals were among the casualties.

The explosion occurred Monday evening near the Red Fort metro station, when a Hyundai i20 car, stopped at a traffic signal on Subhash Marg, was targeted. The blast was powerful enough to cause widespread panic in the area, damage nearby vehicles, and disrupt traffic. Initial reports confirmed nine fatalities and around 20 injuries, but three more victims later succumbed to their injuries, raising the death toll to 12.
Delhi Police have registered a case under multiple provisions, including the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), and are investigating the incident to determine the perpetrators and motive behind the attack.
