The concluding ‘snan’ is scheduled for February 26, marking the end of the 45-day festival.

An estimated 400 million devotees are expected to have participated in the festival by its end, with significant numbers anticipated for the final bath.

Approximately 50,000 security personnel have been deployed to manage the vast crowds and ensure safety during the event.

Preparations have been executed following directives from Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who conducted a video conference to review the arrangements.

Authorities have prioritized cleanliness and hygiene, with regular monitoring of bathing ghats, temple premises, and public spaces to uphold sanitation standards.

Special attention is directed towards maintaining the cleanliness of significant sites such as the Lete Hue Hanuman Temple, Akshayvat, and Saraswati Koop, which are anticipated to attract large crowds during Maha Shivratri.

Guidance centers and help desks have been established at various locations to provide information and support to pilgrims, aiding in navigation, medical access, and recovery of lost belongings.

Officials have conducted aerial surveys of the entire Mela area to assess preparations and crowd management strategies

The Maha Kumbh Mela marks the gods’ victory over demons and offers devotees spiritual cleansing through a sacred dip at the Ganges, Yamuna, and mythical Saraswati confluence.
