Hardik was born in Choryasi, Gujarat on October 11, 1993. Coming from a modest background, he struggled financially at the start of his life.

He has been passionate about cricket since he was a young boy. He and his brother, Krunal Pandya, had a strong interest in the sport.

The Baroda Cricket Association noticed his talent & he began his training at their academy. His skills & dedication made him a part of the local cricket scene.

Hardik debuted with Baroda in the 2013-14 Ranji Trophy, India’s first national cricket tournament.

His domestic cricket performance led to him being drafted into the Indian Premier League (IPL) by Mumbai Indians (MI) in 2015.
