From Rishikesh, hire a cab or take a shared jeep to Govindghat, the base village. This is the last motorable point before your trek begins.
3. Trek to Ghangaria (13 km)
From Govindghat, trek uphill along the Pushpawati River to reach Ghangaria, a small settlement nestled at 3,050 meters. You’ll find budget hotels, camps, and local eateries here. Porters and ponies are available for hire.
4. Trek to Valley of Flowers (4 km one way)
Begin early the next morning to reach the Valley of Flowers, as entry is permitted only from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The return to Ghangaria must be done the same day.
