Oman’s Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs has officially announced that registration for Hajj 2026 (1447 AH) will begin September 23, 2025, and continue until October 8, 2025. While registration is the first step for pilgrims, the ministry has highlighted that signing up does not guarantee a spot for the pilgrimage, as final allocations will follow Saudi Arabia’s quota for Oman.
Who Can Apply and How
Eligible applicants include Omani citizens and residents over 18 years of age. Registrations must be submitted online through the official Hajj portal at www.hajj.om. Applicants can use:
Transparent and Strict Selection Process
The ministry emphasized that the Hajj registration process will be conducted with full transparency, ensuring a fair chance for all eligible applicants. Pilgrims will be automatically selected according to Oman’s quota assigned by Saudi authorities.
The notification schedule for successful applicants is as follows:
First allocation: October 14 – October 30, 2025
Second allocation: November 2 – November 6, 2025
Third allocation: November 9 – November 11, 2025
Applicants who register after the deadline or outside the official portal will not be considered unless a formal exception is announced by the ministry. Providing false or inaccurate information can result in disqualification, and the slot will be reassigned to the next eligible applicant. Slots are non-transferable; if a pilgrim declines, the system automatically reallocates it.
