The Meteorological Department has forecast scattered light rain or snow in Kashmir over the coming days. Light to moderate snowfall is expected between January 22-23, further enhancing the region's beauty. Travelers are advised to check road and weather conditions before planning their journey, especially in higher altitudes.

Officials in Jammu and Kashmir have temporarily closed several roads, including the Gurez-Bandipora, Mughal, and Sinthan Top routes, as a safety measure following adverse weather forecasts. However, the Srinagar-Jammu National Highway remains operational, with authorities urging commuters to adhere to lane discipline to prevent congestion caused by overtaking.
