Xbox Cloud Gaming launches in India on Samsung, LG and Fire TV devices: Brand-wise setup guide, key details and things to know

Xbox Cloud Gaming now works directly on supported Samsung, LG, and Amazon Fire TV models, letting you stream Xbox titles without owning a console. Below are brand-specific setup steps to help you get started on each platform.

Make sure your Samsung smart TV is a 2021 model or newer, as the Xbox app is supported on these versions.

• Open Samsung Smart Hub.

• Search for “Xbox”.

• Install the Xbox app on your TV.

• Launch the Xbox app.

• Sign in with your Microsoft account linked to an active Game Pass Ultimate, Premium, or Essential subscription.

• Put your Xbox Wireless Controller, Xbox Adaptive Controller, DualSense, or DualShock 4 into pairing mode (hold sync button until the light flashes).

• On the TV, go to Settings > General > External Device Manager > Bluetooth Device List.

• Select your controller to pair.

• Browse the Game Pass library within the app.

• Select a game and press Play to start cloud streaming instantly.

LG’s Xbox Cloud Gaming support is available on 2022 and newer OLED and select smart TV models.

• Open the LG Content Store.

• Search for “Xbox”.

• Download and install the app.

• Launch the Xbox app.

• Sign in with your Microsoft account that has an active Game Pass subscription.

• Put your game controller in pairing mode.

• Go to Settings > Connection > Bluetooth Devices on your LG TV.

• Choose your controller and pair it.

• Open the Xbox app.

• Select a cloud-enabled title and begin streaming immediately.

Xbox Cloud Gaming works on:

• Fire TV Stick 4K (2nd Gen)

• Fire TV Stick 4K Plus

• Fire TV Cube (3rd Gen or later)

Ensure the device is running the latest software update.

• Open the Amazon Appstore on your Fire TV.

• Search for “Xbox”.

• Install the Xbox Cloud Gaming app.

• Open the app.

• Sign in with your Microsoft account connected to Game Pass Ultimate.

• Put a Bluetooth controller (Xbox or supported third-party) in pairing mode.

• On Fire TV, go to Settings > Controllers & Bluetooth Devices > Game Controllers > Add New Game Controller.

• Select your controller to pair.

• Launch the Xbox app.

• Browse the cloud-enabled titles in the Game Pass library.

• Choose a game and start streaming.

• Internet speed: A minimum of 7 Mbps is suggested; a 5 GHz Wi-Fi network is ideal for smooth gameplay.

• Controller support: Most Bluetooth game controllers, including PlayStation’s DualSense and DualShock 4, are compatible.

• Cloud saves: Your progress syncs across devices automatically.

• Game library: Hundreds of cloud-ready games—like Forza Horizon 5, Halo Infinite, and more—are available through Game Pass.
