According to a report by South Korean publication Newspim, Samsung has decided to discontinue its ultra-slim smartphone line, the Edge series, due to disappointing sales of the Galaxy S25 Edge. The publication also claims that Samsung has notified its employees of this discontinuation decision of the Edge series, and the company will discontinue the Galaxy S25 Edge after the existing inventory is sold.

Moreover, as per Hana Investment & Securities, Samsung has sold a total of 1.31 million units by August. For context, the Galaxy S25, S25 Plus, and S25 Ultra reached 8.28 million, 5.05 million, and 12.18 million units, respectively, indicating the Edge’s poor performance compared to other S25 smartphones. A report from SamMobile also adds that the company will continue its years-long tradition and will launch three high-end phones next year: the Galaxy S26 Pro, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra.
