The agreement outlines continued development of premium smartphones, with Xiaomi set to be among the first to adopt Qualcomm’s next-generation Snapdragon 8-series chipsets later in 2025. Moreover, Qualcomm’s chipsets will be integrated into multiple future product lines across China and global markets, which will extend to areas including automotive, wearables, smart home devices, tablets, and AR/VR applications.

The collaboration between the two companies began in 2011 with the Xiaomi Mi 1, and since then, Xiaomi’s devices, including its recent 15 series smartphones, have consistently used premium Snapdragon chips in their flagship models. Xiaomi is also set to be among the first companies to integrate the next-generation premium Snapdragon 8-series later this year, as the Chinese smartphone maker has officially confirmed that the Xiaomi 16 series will launch with the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 (tentative name) processor.
